My Soul Thirst
Good morning
Scripture reading: St. John 4:1-15
Worship song: Thirst for You
Meditation:
Jesus departed from Galilee and entered the city of Sychar in Samaria. Weary and tired from his journey, he sat on a well that Jacob dug. While he was relaxing, a woman from Samaria came to draw water from the well. Jesus knew the appointed time the woman would arrive at the well to draw water. It was not the normal custom of the Jews to associate with Samaritans. Jesus, however, looked beyond tradition to rescue her perishing soul. Without hesitation, Jesus asks the woman to draw water for Him. Jesus approached her not for the sole purpose of obtaining water from the well but to offer her living water. The woman hurried to the city to spread the good news of the Messiah. Many Samaritans received Jesus Christ through the ministry of the woman at the well. There is no partiality when it comes to salvation and winning souls for Jesus Christ. Neither gender barrier, race, culture, religion, or traditional belief can hinder the spreading of the gospel. Every barren soul can be quenched if we allow and accept the supplier of living water to fill our reservoir.
Everlasting Father, the supplier of living water, quench and satisfy my thirsty soul, O God, and fill my reservoir, O Lord, from the well that never runs dry. Jehovah God, where there is spiritual dryness, fill me with rivers of living water and saturate my parched soul. Almighty God, I am grateful for the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit and for the outpouring of flesh anointing, grace, and mercies. Almighty God, I give you thanks for the water of life, and I am grateful, O Lord, for where there was spiritual dehydration, you provided spiritual water. Jehovah God, my provider, I give you thanks for spiritual breakthrough, flesh anointing, and for supplying all the resources we need to withstand the forces of darkness through Jesus Christ the risen lamb. Amen.
Enjoy your day. Be blessed. 💓🙏
