Purification of The Heart

Good morning

Scripture: St. Matthew 15:8-20

Worship song: Create in Me A Clean Heart

Meditation:

The heart symbolizes the center or core of our being from which we operate. It is like the driving force behind our actions. It can be referred to as a person's character or the place within a person where feelings or emotions are generated. The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. Jeremiah, the prophet, says, who can know it? (Jeremiah 17:9). Only God can. He searches the heart, tries it, and rewards every man according to his ways and the fruit it produces. The heart is like a factory where products are produced and exported.

Whatever evil the heart produces, it will be shipped throughout the rest of our body, exit through our mouth, and defile us. Among the things that the heart produces are evil thoughts, wickedness, stealing, envy, striving, covetousness, and the like. A person is made or broken by what transpires within the secret chambers of their heart. In other words, the human heart reflects one's true character. Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it flow the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23). Let your heart reflect like a beam of light shining in dark places.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, here I am in your presence, seeking refuge for my soul. Hide me, O God, safely in the secret place of your tabernacle, a place where love abides and evil cannot materialize. Father, I seek not to follow tradition but to thirst after holiness and righteousness, so kill my flesh and break selfish desires, O Lord. Daddy Jesus, I want to be holy and set apart for you, ready at all times to do your will. Father, examine my heart this morning, the core of my being, like only you can. Abba Father, the evil thoughts, the deeds that are manifested from the heart, I surrender them to you, Lord, and ask that you do an in-depth cleansing of my heart. Daddy Jesus, I repent of the things that I allow to cluster my heart. Scrub my heart of all impurities, Lord, and purify me of every hidden craftiness that will contaminate me. Forgive me of every sin known or unknown, hidden or revealed. Lord God, sweep clean the chambers of my heart and guard it against defilement and corrosion of sin in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, my Advocator. Amen.

Have a peaceful day. ✌💕

  1. The heart of the matter is the matter of the heart. Who knows it but God. Smile can be fake, deeds can have underline motives but none of these can escape the detection of God who create it and knows it. God must have first place in it and control it or else the heart becomes a nest for wickedness. We will ever open our hearts for the Lord to reign. With the Lord incharge we can follow our hearts. ❤️❤️.
