Meditation:

    King Herod and the citizens of Jerusalem were profoundly disturbed upon hearing the wise men's announcement of the birth of the future king. Herod promptly summoned the religious leaders together to find the precise location prophesied as the birthplace of the Messiah, not out of a desire to honour or worship the child, but to eliminate Him under the pretence of reverence. He was terrified that the newborn, proclaimed king of the Jews, would dethrone him. Discovering that the wise men had deceived him, Herod, determined to eliminate his potential rival, ordered the execution of all male children aged two and under in and around Bethlehem, hoping the intended victim would likely be among the deceased. 

    However, his scheming failed when both the wise men and the Messiah's parents, were warned in dreams to flee from Herod. Despite Herod's malicious plot, divine purpose remained unhindered. The enemy is strategic and will use different tactics to influence the vulnerable. The adversary sometimes appears as wolf in sheep's clothing, routinely mimicking genuine allies by projecting empathy and concern, strategically securing an individual's trust to facilitate a later deception. Although the adversary is cunning and deceitful, believers overcome by walking in wisdom, staying alert, relying on divine protection, and trusting completely in God’s supreme power.

Let us pray:

    Sovereign God, exalted above all the earth, we humble ourselves before You, Lord, grateful for Your mercy and unconditional love. We acknowledge Your supreme power, Almighty God, to confound and overcome every force opposing Your divine purpose. Almighty God, we trust You to raise a standard against our enemies and send them fleeing in different directions. I ask You, Lord, to shield myself, my family, loved ones, acquaintances, and friends from the malicious schemes and hidden traps devised by the enemy. I entrust my dwelling, family, and destiny into Your hands. Expose every conspiracy, manipulation, or evil agenda concealed against us. Safeguard us, O God, and grant us divine protection from the adversary. When the enemy attempts to hinder or disrupt our destiny, redirect us along Your divine path to safety. Thank You, Lord, for being our protector, defender, and redeemer. In Jesus' mighty name, I pray. Amen.

    No one should underestimate the cunning devices of the enemy and while we will not give him credit for his loon like approach, we serve the only wise true and living God that is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. All power and glory belong to Him. 🙏🙏

While women, traditionally seen as housewives, now undertake a broader range of responsibilities, men must still fulfill their God-ordained role as head of the household regardless of whether or not they are currently executing this role. There position is not dependent on their actions,   but on God's divine appointment.
