Helping the Helpless
Good morning
Scripture reading: St. Luke 10: 25-37
Worship song: The Good Samaritan
Meditation:
The story told by Jesus relates to a man who stopped to assist and extended help to someone who was badly wounded. The Jews despised the Samaritans, yet this man risked his life to help, putting aside their differences and forgetting the resentment, hatred, and bitterness toward his kind. Helping others in need is a demonstration of the manifestation of the love of Jesus Christ in you. We are chosen to fulfill God's purpose by showing kindness to others and helping the needy. We are called to be Samaritans to help rescue those who are bound, lost and forgotten. To help the helpless, love the unloved, feed the hungry, clothe the naked and pray with and care for the needy.
In everything, caution and wisdom must be exercised, especially when approaching desperate people, because we are living in an ungodly world where evil and corruption exist. A Samaritan will always risk their life to assist and help the helpless and the needy. In everything you do, demonstrate the love of God and let God be glorified.
Let’s pray:
Almighty God, King of all kings and Lord of all lords, we worship you, O God, for you are worthy to be praised. We give you all the glory, O God, as we embrace your grace, allowing your will to be done. Almighty God, we crave your protection as we seek to honor our commitment to help those in need and to reach out to those who seek assistance. Father, we are living in a society filled with evil deeds, hatred, envy, strife, bitterness, and resentment, so we asked you, Almighty God, to fill us with your boundless love, compassion, kindness, and tender mercies. Father, guide our hearts and infuse us with your boundless love and peace so we can extend compassion, kindness, grace, and mercies to others, especially the helpless, in the name of Jesus Christ, our King. Amen.
Have a joyful and blessed day. 💕🙏
We live in a selfish society but the church, the children of God must make a difference. Once we establish a relationship with God we must remain consistent in what we do for Him. We cannot allow the ways and attitudes of the world to drag us along with them. We must make a difference. In whatever we do for the kingdom, know God is counting on us to help in it's establishment.

Blessed morning. God is faithful. Pray with me. Come to my soul blessed Jesus. Hear me, O Savior divine. Open the fountain and cleanse me, Lord. Give me a heart like Thine. Heavenly Father, Thank you for the example of the Good Samaritan and for the reminder to love our neighbors as ourselves.Lord , as I reflect on the parable of the good Samaritan, I ask for your guidance in helping me to be a good neighbor to those around me. May I be willing to go out of my way to show kindness and love to those who are hurting or in distress. Help me to understand that kindness doesn't have to be a grand gesture; but often, it is the small acts of kindness that make the biggest difference. Give me the wisdom to discern how I can best serve others and the strength to follow through with action. Amen.Stay Blessed 🙌
