Who Do I Run To?
Good morning
Scripture: St. John 6:60-68
Worship song: I Go to the Rock
Meditation:
Who do you turn to when friends, loved ones, family, and
those you are acquainted with turn their backs on you? Who do you run to when
the pressures of life become unbearable? Who do you turn to when you have no
one to lean on? Who do you turn to when you are struggling to overcome the
hurt, the pain, and broken promises when you are grief-stricken? Who do you run
to when the tempest is raging, and the billows are tossing high? You might be
stigmatized, condemned, rejected, and cast aside, but rest assured you are not
alone. Jesus, who knew no sin, who came to redeem mankind from sin, who spent
his time healing and ministering to the sick, the lame, and the spiritually
blind, was rejected, abused, and crucified for doing good. Whatever your
situation, whatever storm is raging in your life, you can find shelter in the
arms of the master of the ocean, sky, and earth. When you need a friend, when
you need shelter, when you need a strong foundation, lean on Jesus Christ, the
solid rock. When you need comfort, turn to Jesus Christ. He will never leave
nor forsake you. If you are seeking refuge for your soul, turn to Jesus Christ,
our redeeming Saviour. He knows, He sees, and He hears. When you encounter
Jesus Christ, he will console you, bring you his peace, put joy in your heart,
and shower you with His love. There is not a friend like the lowly Jesus. Will
you turn to Him today?
Let us pray:
All-sufficient God, there are times when we feel rejected, neglected, abandoned, and cast down, but I pray, O God, that these things will not hinder us from serving and surrendering to you. Lord, when we encounter difficulties, remind us, O God, of your mighty power and fathomless love. Remind us, O Lord, that through all our storms, when the sea billows roll and the tempest is raging, that we have an anchor in you, mighty one. Remind us, O God, that you are the master of the sea, the earth, and the sky, that you are our comforter, our help in times of trouble, our provider, our redeemer and our solid rock. Almighty God, I pray that no matter the challenges we encounter, we will acknowledge you and allow you to direct our path. Take charge, O God, and allow your ministering angels, your Holy Spirit, to comfort and console us as we struggle with the issues of life in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.
Have a peaceful and blessed day. 💓🙏
Oh bless the name of Jesus Amen🙏
