The Spirit of Fear
Scripture reading: Deut. 31: 6
Worship Song: I Will Fear No More
Meditation:
Fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain or a threat. Fear is often caused by unpleasant experiences or trauma. Fear has the power to paralyze people to the point where they are rendered incapable of doing anything or achieving anything. It is an overwhelming, disturbing force that has the power to sway, distort, and rupture the human mind. For most of us, it would be best if we never encountered fear a day in our lives. Fear does not come from God; it comes from Satan. The devil intends to keep us repressed by fear, to keep us from doing God’s will, and to keep us from being used by God. Fear will keep us from praying for someone and from believing that God can work a miracle in our lives. Fear will keep us from witnessing to others, afraid of what people might think or say. Fear will keep us from giving to God, afraid that we won’t have enough. Fear will keep us from worshiping God in an outward expression of lifting our hands to the Lord, afraid of making a spectacle of ourselves. Fear will cause us to hold that song inside to keep that prayer request to ourselves or suppress the gifts of the Holy Spirit from operating in our lives. If fear is dominating your life, you can overcome it through prayer and trust in a God who can deliver, conquer, and set us free. Fear loses its power when we begin to trust God more than what we fear.
Let's pray:
Jehovah God, I exalt and glorify you as my Lord and King. Worthy are you, O God, and worthy to be praised. Almighty God, all-powerful, consuming fire, I beseech you, O God, to consume the spirit of fear that represses us, that keeps us captive. Release us, mighty God, from that which bounds our minds and hearts. Grant us, O God, the power to overcome the spirit of fear through the strengthening of our faith and trust in you, Lord. Cripple the dominion power of fear, mighty God, and give us victory to triumph over that which restrains us. Jehovah God, please break the power of fear and let it not be a stumbling block to us through the blood of Jesus Christ, our Saviour, Lord, and King. Amen.

Have a wonderful day. Shalom.🩷
We overcome in faith. Fear is also false evidence appearing real. All our lives we leave the back door open and fear crep in and take up residence. It is time to evict it and let go let God.
