The Birth of Jesus Christ
Season greetings
Worship song: Emmanuel
Meditation:
Bible Scholars and historians are still trying to determine the date of Jesus's birth. It has been a point of debate for centuries. Though His time of birth was not recorded in any of the four gospels, some scholars believe he was born in August. There are speculations from other scholars who surmise Jesus' birth took place in May. Others theorize Jesus was born in June, while others believe the date is in April. There might not be a recorded date of his birth, but we do know he was born, he was crucified, and he was resurrected. We know Jesus came to save and to call sinners to repentance. His blood was shed for the remission of our sins so we can have life and have it more abundantly.
We do know Jesus is the way, the truth, and the light; no one
can come to the Father except through Him. He is our waymaker, our healer, our
provider, and our miracle-working God. He is our burden bearer and the giver of
life. He is our friend who sticks closer than a brother, our shepherd, our
Lord, and our King. He is the only door to salvation. Do not turn Him away. Do
not let this opportunity pass you by; He is just a prayer away.
Let us pray:
Mighty God, I may not know your exact date of birth, but I
do know all my sins are forgiven, and I am redeemed, bought with the price you
paid. Lord Jesus, because of your sacrificial offering, I am no longer bound by
my sins. I am now heir and joint heir with you. Jehovah God, words are not
enough to express how much I appreciate your sacrificial death for the
remission of our sins. Lord, you pay a gruesome price for my cause, and for
that I am grateful. I pray that my gratefulness for your sacrificial love,
grace, and mercies will be reflected in my obedience to do your will. Mighty
God, I trust and depend on you to keep me rooted and grounded, steadfast, and
focused on you. Mighty God, keep me near the cross, and do not let me slip into
the coma of my sins. Thank you, Daddy Jesus, for nailing my sins on the cross.
Thank you, Lord, for it is by your stripes that I am made whole, and it is your
love that breaks the chain that bound me. Lord, I give thee thanks for renewed
strength, peace, and the opportunity to reconcile and make right all my wrongs
through Jesus Christ. Amen.
Happy holiday. 🎉🎊🙏
