The Spirit of Fear

Good morning

Scripture reading: Philippians 4:6-7

Worship song: Fear is a Liar

Meditation:

Daily we confront fear, and it has the potential to rob us of our joy and peace if we allow it to overwhelm us. Fear, according to the dictionary, is the feeling of anxiety and agitation caused by the presence or nearness of danger, evil, or pain. This type of fear causes you to doubt God's goodness and power. This fear is not of God. God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and self-control. This type of fear will keep us from fulfilling our responsibilities and prevent us from doing the will of God. The word of God reminds us in Isaiah 41:10 to fear not and be not dismayed, for God is with us; he will strengthen, help, and uphold us with his righteous right hand. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. Fearing man is a dangerous trap, but when you fear the Lord, you are protected.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, which leads you to make the right choices in life and submit to God's will. The Lord commands us to be strong and courageous and not be frightened, for He is with us wherever we go. The Lord said we should fear not because he has redeemed us, and we are his. When we pass through the waters, He will be with us, and through the rivers, they shall not overflow us; when we walk through the fire, we shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon us. The whole matter is to fear only God and keep his commandments.

Let us pray:

Sovereign God, worthy of all praise, honor, and glory, please reduce the feelings of fear and anxiety that plague us. Help us rest in You and trust You as we navigate through this broken world. Lord, we seek deliverance and breakthrough whenever fear and doubt creep into our hearts and minds. Lord, we ask you to bind the power of fear and let it not have dominion over us because you did not give us the spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. Father, whenever we become fearful, remind us that you are with us; nullify the spirit of fear that threatens to destroy our peace of mind in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Have a blessed day. 💕🙏
