Our Choices have Consequences
Scripture reading: Genesis 2: 15-17
Worship song: You Still Love Me
Meditation:
There is only one life we have to live on Earth, and therefore, we need to make wise decisions that will help us navigate our righteous path. Every day, we are required to make choices, whether we want to or not, and the choices we make will determine our destiny. We are given free will choices, and the onus was laid on us to make choices that will be beneficial to our spiritual well-being. Everything we do or say comes from our choices, and our choices determine the standard, value, character, direction, and path to our destiny in life. Most times, we make swift decisions without even considering the impact they will have on our lives or the lives of others. Once a decision has been made and implemented, it is final, and its impact will manifest whether for good or evil. Many people dread making choices because of the fear of failure or making bad choices. We can make choices to accept the Almighty God as our Creator or choose to accept and worship foreign gods. We can either choose to walk in holiness or ungodliness, choose to serve the Lord sincerely, or serve the devil with delight. Whatever choice is made, ensure you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, bearing in mind that every decision has consequences and repercussions.
Let's pray:
Almighty God, I give you thanks for bringing light into every dark situation. Great are you, Lord, and greatly to be praised. Father, we acknowledge that you have laid upon us free will to make choices and that whatever decisions we make will determine our destiny. Jehovah God, though we are free to choose, we call upon you, mighty God, to help us make the right decisions. Father, sometimes we make detrimental decisions, and the outcome is unfavourable, but I pray, Lord, for your divine intervention. Lead us, Abba Father, and allow your Holy Spirit to assist us in whatever choices we have to make. We need you, Lord, now more than ever to deliver us from the things that look appealing and protect us from influential predators, lest we are persuaded to make the wrong choices in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.
Keep safe. Blessings.🩷
