Overcoming Evil With Good

Good morning

Scripture reading: Romans 7:5-25

Worship song: God, You're So Good

Meditation:

There lies within each of us the tendency to do evil and the potential for good. However, the outcome depends on whether we choose to do evil or good. If we shun the appearance of evil, evil will not dwell in our presence, but if we meddle in or allow evil to reside within us, it will control and corrupt us. Apostle Paul testified of his struggles with the desire of the flesh. The flesh is corrupted, leading him to sin against his will. He is enslaved by the sinful nature within him. When he tries to do good, evil presents itself. He emphasizes that there is a struggle between the desire to do good and the pull of sin, a struggle that continues until the believer is fully redeemed.

Evil is like cancer; once you ignore the signs and allow it to take root, it will never stop until it destroys your conscience, leaving you heartless, cruel, and cold. Paul concluded by expressing gratitude for God's grace and freedom from sin. Let us not conform to the things of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds so we can resist evil and grasp what is good. Keep your heart, hands, and mind clean and pure. Let not evil have dominion over you. Choose good, repudiate evil, and let the peace of God dwell in you richly.

Let’s pray.

Sovereign God, I seek your divine power to protect our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being from evil influences. Deliver us from any thoughts or desires that seek to conquer our souls, minds, and hearts. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we declare every evil plot, deception, evil force, and snare known and unknown warring against our spiritual journey powerless. Lord, I pray that your Shekinah glory will dwell among us always. Mighty God, we wholeheartedly express sincere gratitude for sending your son to conquer the dominion of sin and for the gift of salvation and redemption through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Have a peaceful day. ✌💕🙏
