Light In the Darkness

Good morning

 Scripture reading: Matthew 5:14-16

Worship song: Carry Your Candle

Meditation:

Light plays an essential role in our daily lives and is considered the main source of energy for all living organisms. It is hard to imagine how dark and gloomy the world would be without the illumination provided by the light. The light illuminates the darkness, giving us the vision to carry out tasks and perform certain functions. In the beginning, at the period when the earth was void and there was only darkness, God, through his infinite power, commanded the light to appear, and then he separated the light from the darkness. Throughout the scriptures, light represents holiness, goodness, hope, and grace. Moses' life changed when he was drawn to the bright light in the bush; there, he encountered God. The children of Israel were led by a great light as they traveled through the wilderness. The light appears in the form of a pillar of cloud and a pillar of fire to light the way for them both day and night. We need light to enable us to see physically and spiritually. Jesus Christ is the true light of the world, and through Him, our spiritual light will never go dim. Do not hide your light under a bushel, but let your light shine so that others can see your good work and glorify your Father, who is in heaven. As Christians, we are the light of the world, and the quality of our light outweighs the quantity, so let it shine for the world to see. If you are still walking in darkness, take a step toward the light of the world, Jesus Christ.

 Let us pray:

O God, thou art my God, I will exalt and praise you, my King, for you alone are worthy. You are wonderful and marvelous, O God. None can be compared to you, O Lord. You spoke, and everything you desired came into existence. Through your infinite power, you triumph over darkness. Daddy Jesus, you are the truth and the light, and you said no one can come to the Father except through you. Lord, if our lights are fading, if they are dim, if they are hidden under a bushel, if the world cannot see it, please remove the shades that block them, Mighty God. Daddy Jesus, ignite the fire of the Holy Ghost within us and let the power of your light shine through and within us, mighty God. Ignite every dark area of our lives with your floodlight, Mighty God. Light of the world, I pray that we will continue to follow the path that you have paved for us. Almighty God, I am grateful that you have taken us out of darkness into your marvelous light through Jesus Christ, our Redeemer. Amen.

Have a great day. Keep safe. 💞
