The Death of The Wicked

Good morning

Scripture reading: Ezekiel 33: 1-20

Praise song: Only a Look

Meditation:

All of us have an appointment with death, which we cannot cancel, for all must die. Nevertheless, there is a difference between the death of the sinner and the death of the redeemed. When the redeemed die, they will one day be resurrected to eternal life, but the ungodly to eternal torment in the lake of fire prepared for Satan and his cohorts of darkness. While Jesus was speaking to his disciples, he cautioned them not to fear those who destroy the body, but rather to fear him who can destroy both soul and body.

Those who die in Christ should not fear death, for death is not their final destiny. Those who die while meddling in their sin and wickedness, refusing to surrender to Christ, will receive the wrath of God as their reward. Jehovah God declares that he finds no joy, no pleasure in the death of the wicked, and no pleasure in the punishment of the evildoers. Jehovah God desires that all of us turn from our ungodly ways, repent of our sins, and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior for the remission of our sins.

Do not persist in your wickedness and die in your folly. Almighty God is a forgiving God. It matters not what you have done; Jehovah God is waiting with outstretched arms to forgive and welcome you. Jesus' death on the cross was sufficient for our salvation. If you are struggling with sin, turn to Jesus, and He will pardon you. Do not let the opportunity of redemption pass you by; escape hell.

Let us pray:

My gracious Heavenly Father, I lift my eyes to you, O God, from whence cometh my help. Father, I am grateful to you, O God, for the opportunity you have given us to repent for the remission of our sins. Father, I am grateful that you have rescued us from the stronghold of sin and wickedness and have granted us eternal life. Father, may we never return to the old flame that once kindled within us but carry the spiritual fire of God with us always. Almighty God, I pray for those who have not yet surrendered to you, those who still find pleasure in wickedness, sin, iniquities, and corruption. May the Holy Spirit intervene and change their ungodly thoughts and mindset to a desire for holiness.

I pray, O God, that the wicked will not die in their trespasses, but that they will turn to you and receive forgiveness for their sins. I pray, O God, your words will pierce hardened, unrepentant hearts and bring them to total surrender. Father, may the procrastinators realize a judgment day is coming and none can escape, except they repent and give their hearts to you, Lord Jesus. I am grateful, Lord God, you don't destroy a city before first warning. May we heed the warning and repent while the blood still runs warm in our veins. Grant mercy and grace, O God, as we plead our cause in the name of Jesus Christ, our Advocate. Amen.

Be strong in the Lord. ✌💕🙏
