Extreme Makeover
Good morning
Scripture reading: 1 Peter 1:13-21
Worship song: Make Me Over Again
Meditation:
It appears that people are having trouble accepting their
physical appearance. They place great emphasis on their appearance and will
take drastic measures to achieve and accomplish their desire for a complete
body makeover. Many are spending thousands of dollars to reconstruct their
appearance by using Botox treatments. There is nothing wrong with enhancing our
outward appearance because caring about our physique is self-love. But when a
person goes to the extreme to change and modify what God has designed to suit
their ego, it says a lot about their deprivation of personal self-esteem and
lack of appreciation for God's creation. We do not need a physical body makeover; what we need is
a complete spiritual makeover. Do not try to blend in with the world nor
conform to the things of the world but be transformed by the renewing of your
mind so that you may prove what is good, acceptable, and the perfect will of
God. The most significant change is a life surrender to Jesus Christ, which is
the only makeover that mankind truly needs. We all need an extreme spiritual
transition, so let us allow God to change us from the inside out. Beauty
transpires within and radiates outward. Only God can change us without altering
our appearance.
Everlasting Father, our creator and sculptor, I bow in reverence to you, O Lord, my maker. Almighty God, you are the potter, and we are the clay, so I beseech you, Father God, to take this lump of clay, mold it, make it, and fashion it into your likeness for your glory, God. Father God, root out that which you have not sown and pluck up that which you have not planted, Mighty God. Father God, the only makeover we need is a spiritual makeover that will eliminate the lifestyle associated with the former conversation of the older version of us. Grant us, Jehovah God, a makeover in which God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Lord, we need a makeover that will last until eternity, so I ask, Father God, that you renew our minds, change our hearts, and give us a heart like thine, a heart that is humble, pure, loving, and kind. Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us. Father, exchange our ways and thoughts for that which satisfies you in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. Amen.
Have a blessed day. Shalom. 💕🙏
