Just Let go
Good morning
Scripture reading: Ephesians 4
Worship song: Let Go
Meditation:
Life comes with many challenges, disappointments, hardships, hurt, pain, etc., which sometimes result in someone becoming angry, resentful, and bitter. Some people who are consumed by anger find it difficult to let it go. Most people, if not all, including Christians and non-Christians, struggle to let go of the pain and hurt someone has caused. We sometimes refuse to forgive those who hurt us or caused us grief. But did you know that if you forgive not those who trespassed against you, neither will your Heavenly Father forgive your trespasses? It, therefore, means we have to forgive others to be forgiven. Forgive, you might say, after all that he or she has done to me. Yes, forgive. Unforgiveness is a prison to the soul that locks the unforgiving person in their self-made prison. Don't get comfortable, contended, and complacent with sin that you fail to realize and acknowledge the danger it poses. When you allow sin to creep into your lives, it gradually festers until it corrupts your mind, heart, thoughts, and ways. Free your heart and mind, release the burden of unforgiveness that weighs you down, and let God have His way. Do not allow your heart to be engulfed by sin. Do not hold on to things that are insignificant and that have no valuable purpose. Let go and experience the peace of God. Is there something you are holding onto that is causing you to be angry, bitter, and hostile? It is time to let it go and let God have His way in your life.
My invincible, unstoppable God, I surrender to you, O God,
my thoughts, my mind, and my heart. Almighty God, if I have wounded a brother
or a friend, give me courage, Lord, to make amends. Lord, if I have caused
anyone grief or pain, whether intentionally or unintentionally, please forgive
me, Lord. If I have caused any to lose their way or caused any to err, please
forgive me, Lord. Father, while I beseech you to pardon me and cleanse my
unforgiving heart, I also ask that you give me courage and strength to free me
of those who I have held captive in my mind and heart. Though I have forgiven
them of the hurt and pain they have caused, let not the residue linger in my
mind, but let me forget less my thoughts are occupied and consumed by grief and
resentment. Father, I give you my life as a living sacrifice and ask that you
search me thoroughly, and if there is anything found within me that will hinder
me from living a righteous life, I ask you to blot it out, Lord, and purify me
according to your will in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, my
soon-coming King. Amen.
Have a peaceful day. ✌🙏
