Lay Down Your Burdens
Good morning
Scripture Reading: St. Matthew 11:27-30
Worship Song: Come as You Are
Meditations:
We often resort to music, entertainment, social media, and
books to drown out misery when we become and feel burdened, overwhelmed, and
frustrated by the day-to-day struggles, trials, and temptations that we try
desperately to endure. We tend to rely on our strengths, but most times, we
fail to win the battle. Satan's orchestrated plan is to defeat our purpose and
put a stumbling block in our path to impede us. When our responsibilities
become unbearable when we labor and are heavily laden, it is best to take it to
the Lord in prayer, and he will give us rest. Let us approach God’s throne of
grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us
in our time of need. Let us cast our burden upon the LORD, take it to the
altar, and let the Lord sustain us. We have a high priest, Jesus Christ, who is
touched by the feelings of our struggles and who will never suffer the
righteous to be moved, so let us approach his throne and exchange his easy yoke
for our burdens. He promised he would take our heavy load, so let us turn to
Him, whose faithful word is sweeter than honey.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, God of mercy and grace, excellent is your name in all the earth, O God. Almighty God, mighty to save, I just want to lay prostrate at your feet, to humble myself before you, and to cast my cares upon you, Father. Lord God, in this moment of reflection, when my struggles are too much to bear, I just want to surrender them all to you and exchange them for your easy yoke. Father God, there is no place I would rather be than to dwell in your house all the days of my life, beholding your glory and basking in your presence. So, Father God, I beseech you to keep me near the cross, lest I stray from your presence and wander down the wrong path. Father, have your way in my life and use me for your glory to fulfill your promises in the name of Jesus Christ, our redeemer. Amen.
Have a peaceful and safe day. 💕🙏
Life is easy when we are on the mountain but in the valley He restoreth our soul.
ReplyDeleteThe day to day struggles will wear on us but have a rich resources of God's grace. As Paul was told, My grace is sufficient to keep you. Let us tap into that resources.
He remind us to cast our cares up on Him because He careth for us. He will help us find a way. Once our desire is towards Him first, He will will see us through.
No day will ever be the same but no matter what we are going through He will fix it for us. Let us hold to His unchanging hands.
Blessings.
