Stand Your Ground
Good morning
Scripture reading: Ephesians 6
Worship song: Stand
Meditation:
As a believer, you will never be free from the attacks of
the enemy. Not in this life, anyway. The devil will always try to keep you in a
place of fear because you are a believer. If the devil can gain access by
persuading you to focus your thoughts on the bad that is going on around you,
then he can strike fear in your heart. You will begin to doubt God’s word and
His ability to keep His promises. If the devil gets you over in the arena of
fear, doubt, and mistrust, it is over. Don’t let that happen. Instead of
allowing the devil to get a grip on you, stand your ground, knowing who you are
in Christ Jesus and that God is always on your side. You don’t have to fall
victim and give in to fear when the devil tries to stop you because God has
given you a word of victory. When the enemy attacks you, don’t become fearful;
just stand in faith. Don’t cower and run away; resist him; stand firm in your
faith with your loins girt—that you will be able to stand against all the fiery
darts of the wicked. After you have done all you can and there is nothing more
you can do, just STAND. Stand on the promises of God, and He will see you
through. God has great things in store for you. Be strong in the Lord and in
the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to
stand against the wiles of the devil. Don't give up; the same experiences of
suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.
Let us pray:
My Master and Saviour Jesus Christ, it is such a great privilege to enter the throne room of grace, to be able to call upon a God who has no competitor, no limit, nor boundaries. This morning, O God, I give you thanks for such a time as this, a time when I can freely offer my petition to you in prayer, bowing and worshipping you in spirit and in truth. Abba, Father, as I bow my heart in reverence to You, humble me, O God, and teach me to shun the appearance of evil. Father, for far too long I have been wrestling, fearful of my enemy's plot and scheme, entrapped by the spirit of fear, but Lord, I am coming out by your power. Rescue me, O God, and conquer that spirit of fear, doubt, and timidity while I claim victory in every situation that I encounter. Heavenly Father, prepare me for spiritual empowerment as I seek to honor, glorify, and serve You in the name of Jesus Christ, my Saviour. Amen.
Peace and love. ✌💕
