Who Do You Serve?

Good morning

Scripture reading: Joshua 24:14-15

Praise song: Mighty One

Meditation:

Joshua declared that all those within his household would serve the Lord. Joshua witnessed the power of Almighty God as he led the children of Israel through the wilderness, and therefore he was able to declare that he and his household will serve the Lord. Joshua encouraged the Israelites and advised them to serve the Lord sincerely, seek him earnestly, and forget about the gods whom their forefathers served. They had a choice to choose whether or not they wanted to serve the Lord. When you come in contact with the creator of the universe, the God who created you in His own image and likeness, you can't resist the desire to serve him wholeheartedly. Serving the Lord is an open invitation freely offered to all persons. No one can force you to choose whom you want to serve. However, remember, the choice you make today will determine your eternity. As you make your decision, whether to serve the Lord or mammal, bear in mind that one day we will all stand before the judgment throne to give an account to God of how we spend the time allotted to us.

 Let's pray:

Almighty God, I exalt thee, O Lord, and place you above all else, for you are our great high priest. Father, we serve thee with gladness and come into your presence with praise because you are our Lord and King. Jehovah God, I declare that no foreign god will ever take your place, for you alone deserve the glory and honor. I will praise you, O God, for marvelous are your works and manifestations. Almighty God, I am grateful for the opportunity to choose whom we will serve. Father, I have chosen to serve you, and I desire to seek you daily, to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, and to behold the beauty of the Lord. Father, I pray that more persons will earnestly seek to serve you and accept you as Lord and Saviour because you are our only hope, our reason for living. Abba, Father, many are the tribulations and trials we face, but I know you will deliver us out of them all, and so I call upon you to lead, guide, and protect us in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.

Have a peaceful day. Keep safe. ✌💕

  1. What joy it is to serves the Lord wholeheartedly. It is more than the confidence we put in the chair we sit on or the plane we fly in. God is the source of all life. We should not cast our confidence away which have so great recompense of reward. He is our anchor that holds. Let us do the things that add life to life.
