Emergency Connection

Meditation:

    During a crisis that escalates out of control, your first thought is to call for help. You can call an emergency response service to dispatch trained professionals to assist and resolve any challenges you cannot handle effectively. However, not all cases end with a successful outcome, no matter how alert, educated, swift, committed, and dedicated they are to resolving problems. Some things are just out of their control and need God's intervention. Nothing, no matter how simple it looks, can be attained unless God is a part of it. The best medical care from doctors, no matter how medically equipped, cannot guarantee your well-being or survival if God does not intervene. It takes divine intervention beyond medical science. 

    The afflictions of the righteous are many, but we can rely only on God to deliver us out of them all. Many wanderers are going down the wrong path, but only Jesus Christ, through the leading of the Holy Spirit and his compassion for sinners, can deliver, save, and set us free. We wrestle against principalities and spiritual wickedness all the days of our lives, but it takes the power of God to help us run through troops, leap over mountains, defeat giants, conquer sin, and triumph over the enemy. It takes the grace and love of God to protect us against the rulers of darkness of this world. Whenever you are tempted or faced with a spiritual and or physical emergency, remember to dial the royal telephone service through prayer and supplication with thanksgiving and let your requests be known to God. Help is on the way.

Let us pray:

    Everlasting God, my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower, I call upon you, mighty God, as I make my petition known unto you. Father, I depend on you to carry and lead me as I have no power of my own. Direct my heart and keep me steadfast in times of crisis, O God, and keep me secure, sheltered, and protected under your mighty wings. I beseech you, Lord, to cover me as you cover me in my mother's womb and give me the spirit of endurance to withstand the rulers of darkness in this world, spiritual wickedness in high places, and victory over principalities and powers of evil forces. Father, allow me to run through the troops of the enemy without fear or trembling. Father, by your power, empower me to defeat giants and triumph over spiritual and physical attacks. Hasten, O God, to deliver me from the plot and scheme of the enemy through Jesus Christ. Amen.
