Get It Right
Scripture reading: St. Mark 5:17- 48
Worship song: Make It Right
Meditation:
Have you heard the saying that 'Things and time change and what applies, and works for pass generation does not work for today's generation? Even if there is any truth to that saying, the Word of God remains the same, it never changes, and His law remains the same. The Constitution of Jamaica or any other country can be amended, and an amendment can be repealed, but the Bible can neither be amended nor repealed; its truth is permanent and everlasting. Note vs. 18, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. This is a clear indication that God's law remains the same and all generation are expected to abide by and obey the word of God. The scripture says for us to enter Heaven our righteousness should exceed that of the Scribes and Pharisees. The Scribes and Pharisees appeared righteous to men, but inwardly they were filled with iniquities and uncleanness. They were more concerned about religion, obeying rules and laws than living a righteous life (Matt 23). True righteousness is not earned by religious works, bought by charitable giving, or deserved by good deeds. It is received by grace through faith in Christ Jesus.
Let us pray:
Omnipresent, Omniscient, the only wise God, please lead us back to the basis of life, O God, when we were eager to hear your spoken words. Take us, Heavenly Father, to that place where listening to and living by your words was our number one priority. Almighty God, take us to where we once fear and tremble at even the very mention of your name. Humble us, like little children, Mighty God, for of such is your kingdom made of. Almighty God, purify us from deep within so it can radiate and shine on the outside. Almighty God, I want to live pure and holy, committed to doing your will. Mighty God, open our eyes to see the wrongs and make a change. Convict us Heavenly Father, and lead us back to you, O God. Abba, Father, please extend your mercies unto us through Jesus Christ and renew a right spirit within us through our Advocator, our soon coming King. Amen.
Have a lovely day. Be blessed and keep safe. 💕
