Broken Chain

Good morning

Scripture reading: St. Luke 8:27-33

Worship song: My Shackles Are Broken

Meditation:

To say that someone is chained means that they are bound or restrained by a controlling agent or force. We can become possessed or enslaved by any agent that invades our territory or by anything we choose or allow to control our behavior, mind, and actions. Many of us are bound by our circumstances but do not realize the impact it has on our lives. Jesus, while on his mission, stumbled upon a man possessed by a demon that tormented him constantly day and night. You can tell by reading the passage of scripture that the unclean spirit was comfortable residing in the man. The demon, upon realizing that Jesus came to cast him out, beseeched Jesus not to torment him. The task of demons, unclean spirits, is to capture and prevent us from becoming what God intends us to be. That is why we need to pray earnestly without seizing, asking God to cover, shield, and protect our mind, the entry portal to our soul, from the evil one whose only intention is to keep us in bondage. Anything that manipulates and enslaves your thoughts and prevents you from walking in God's purpose is not of God and will eventually destroy you. If you are bound by fears, failures, guilt, depression, addiction, disabilities, or any negative words that have been spoken over your life, you can be set free by the power of Jesus Christ. Whatever stronghold has bound you; Jesus Christ can deliver you and set you free.

 Let us pray:

Everlasting God, let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even thy salvation, according to thy word, and be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens. Almighty God, I am grateful for your grace, faithfulness, and compassion that are keeping us and preventing us from being consumed. Lord, we continue to seek your divine intervention to set us free from oppression, depression, or any stronghold that has invaded our hearts and minds. Lord God, whatever we are bound by, whether we are invaded by agents working through satanic power, possessed by demonic forces, or controlled by our thoughts, our self-righteous attitudes, and carnal weaknesses, we seek your divine intervention to destroy the invader of our mind in the name of Jesus Christ. Father, we ask that you have mercy on us according to your steadfast love, according to your abundant mercy, and we ask that you blot out our transgressions. Almighty God, we stand steadfast in the liberty wherewith you have made us free. Lord, I give you thanks with a grateful heart, for you have brought us out of darkness and the shadow of death and broken the chains asunder that bound us. Help us, Lord, not to be entangled again with the yoke of bondage in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Have a blessed and peaceful day. 🙏🙏
