Faith without works
Meditation:
The men who brought the sick of the plague to see Jesus in Capernaum while he was preaching and healing the sick was an example of faith implemented through works. Their faith led them to carry an immobile, palsy-sick man lying on his bed to seek healing for his condition. When they arrived at Capernaum and realized that the crowd was too thick for them to gain entrance, they went on the roof, removed a section of it, and then lowered the bed with the sick man on it in the presence of Jesus. They were determined to receive healing for their brethren no matter the cost. Their faith caught Jesus's attention, and he turned away from what he was doing and attended to their needs. Jesus first forgave the sick man of all his sins before commanding him to take up his bed and walk. The man immediately rose from the bed, took up his bed, and walked away rejoicing. His faith had made him whole. Are you battling with a paralytic condition? that needs immediate attention, one that will engage the master's attention? Will you willingly exercise your faith this morning and allow the Lord to attend to your needs? He is patiently waiting to turn his attention to you.
Let us pray:
Sovereign God, holy and righteous, we lay prostrate before you, O God, seeking healing for our conditions. Almighty God, this morning I place every paralytic condition at the foot of the cross. Father, though we move around freely and mentally, we are paralyzed by the negative words that have been spoken over our lives, and so God, I declare breakthrough and deliverance. Deliver us, O God, from generational curses, deliver us, O God, from those whose desire is to keep us bound in chains. Father, there is nothing too hard for you, so I believe that there is a miracle that awaits us as we exercise our mustard seed faith. Almighty God, I claim healing and deliverance for every sickness that plagues us, both physical and spiritual, and I believe, O God, that you will show up and conquer the stronghold that held us captive. Almighty God paralyzed and mentally immobile, by exercising our faith, we believe we will be delivered and set free. Father, we rise from our bed of afflictions and walk in newness. We claim freedom and deliverance from whatever has held us captive. We believe this morning that the chains have been broken, wounded hearts are mended, and every dead situation has been restored to life. Father, as we claim our healing and deliverance physically and spiritually, forgive us of all our sins and trespasses and grant us a new mindset. Almighty God, I glorify you for what you have done and are about to do in our lives in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Have a great day. 🩷
