The Greatest Sacrifice

Scripture reading: Hebrews 9:19-28

Worship song: I Give You My Heart

Meditation:

What are you willing to sacrifice? We often hear that we should give our best offering—in other words, give our best monetary sacrifice. Does giving our best offering guarantee us a place in God's kingdom? Is monetary sacrifice our best and only offering? We look forward to the opportunity to sow seeds and bless ministries, but we should be mindful that while giving, Jesus expects us to sow into the Kingdom of God by surrendering our lives to Him. The greatest sacrifice we can offer to God is our life as a living sacrifice. We must first seek to offer our lives and surrender all to follow Jesus Christ. Giving a huge sum does not guarantee one a place in the Kingdom of God. It is only by committing our lives to God that we are saved and that we will receive the gift of eternal life. Over two thousand years ago, the greatest sacrifice that took place was made by Jesus Christ when he offered His life and shed His blood for the remission of our sins. His sacrificial offering was made willingly to grant us eternal life, peace, healing, redemption from sin, and strength in times of worry, despair, sickness, weakness, and trials. While we bless others with our offerings, remember the greatest sacrifice we can offer is surrendering our lives unto Jesus Christ as our living sacrifice.

 Let's pray:

Dearest Father, one thing I desire and that will I seek is that those who have an encounter with you, Lord, will be saved. Almighty God, I pray that those who have a zeal for You but are ignorant of God's righteousness and going about to establish their self-righteousness will soon submit themselves to Your righteousness, O God. Father, I pray that our first and foremost desire will be to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice unto you, holy and acceptable unto you, O God. I pray, O God, we will no longer be conformed to the things of the world, but we will be transformed by the renewing of our minds and accept, abide, and conform to your perfect will, O God. Father, I pray that as we give generously and as we bless others with our offerings, we will not just give to earthly causes but surrender our lives to you, O God. I pray, O God, that we will focus our attention on the things that will lead us on the path of righteousness. Father, by your mercies, grant us wisdom to seek that which is above in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen. (Child of the King).

                                           Peace and love. Shalom💕🙏
