Do You Know Him

Good morning

Scripture reading: 1 John 2:2-5

Worship Song: Without Him

Meditation:

There is a difference between knowing about someone and truly knowing someone. To know Jesus goes beyond just knowing his biography. It is more than knowing about the miracles he performed, more than just reading about him, listening to someone speak about him, or believing that he was a good teacher. It is more than gathering information about him. Knowing Jesus is not just a partial acquaintance but a deep, intimate knowledge. It is about having a personal relationship with Him and choosing to follow him.

Those who know Jesus put their faith in him, trust him, acknowledge their need for him, recognize him as the redeemer of sinners, accept him as their Lord and Saviour, and realize that they cannot do without him. Knowing Jesus is experiencing His love, His grace, and His mercy in our daily lives. Knowing Jesus makes you do things differently by changing your lifestyle from doing ungodly evil deeds to doing good deeds. Knowing Jesus is adapting to that which is godly and having a deep desire to worship him and do that which is holy and accepted by God.

Don't be misled by the world's misrepresentation of Him; get to know him for yourself through the word of God. When you delve into the word, your heart's desire to know more about him increases. Once you accept Jesus Christ, nothing can break that friendship. Do not turn him away; get to know more about that man who sacrificed his life for your redemption. You can know about Jesus Christ through the word of God and fellowship with him through worship and prayer.

Let us pray:

Almighty God, I am glad that I took time to listen, to read the word, and to invite you into my life. I am grateful that you have rescued me from the miry clay and planted my feet upon the rock to stay. Lord, at times I falter, but I am grateful that you have not forsaken me. Almighty God, the more I read the inspired word of God, the more I want to know about you who died for my redemption. Saviour, blessed Saviour, I want more of you; I desire a closer relationship with you, a relationship so strong that neither principalities, powers, things present, nor things to come will be able to turn my heart from you. Father, whatever the enemy has placed before me to distract me, to cause me to stumble, or to hinder my commitment to serving you and living my life to please you, I beseech you, Lord, to intercept his plans and weaken its dominion power. Lord may my life be a reflection of Jesus Christ residing in me and may the strong desire I have to learn more about you never fade. Lord, I pray that you will strengthen the relationship I have established with you so it will not be broken, and I beseech you to draw me closer to you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.

Keep safe. 💞🙏
