Pray Consistently
Good morning
Scripture reading: 1 Thess 5:16-28
Worship song: Pray On
Meditation:
1 Thess 5 reminds us to 'pray without ceasing'. Prayer
should be our main priority. Daniel knew the importance of prayer, and so he
prayed to God three times per day, even when the new law signed by King Darius
forbid praying to any god or man unless they were praying to him. Jehovah God
does not force us to pray or set limits about how often we pray, but we should
take into consideration that prayer is the way to communicate with our Heavenly
Father through the leading of the Holy Spirit. The decision to pray and how
often we connect with God through prayer is a decision that each person should
make. We also can determine what, when, and where we will pray. Many people
have the concept that prayer is done only in the morning, at night, before
meals, during church services, or when we are in trouble. Prayer can be done at
any time and as often as possible. We should always be in an attitude of prayer
throughout the day, pray often, persevere in prayer, and not faint. Remember,
prayer is a privilege God has given us; therefore, the onus is on us to
exercise that privilege. We have Jesus invitation to communicate with Him
through prayer. When we pray with a sincere heart, asking anything according to
the will of God, he will hear and answer us. Through prayer, requests are
granted, burdens are lifted, giants defeated, and breakthrough deliverance will
become our testimonies. Make prayer your main priority.
Jehovah God, we give you thanks this morning for the
opportunity we have to connect with you through our advocate, Jesus Christ. At
times, we become reluctant and complacent. We become so caught up with work and
personal activities that we do not find time to pray. Abba Father, I pray that
we will develop the habit of praying constantly and that we will never cease to
communicate with you through prayer. Abba Father, we recognized the importance
of prayer and ask that you help us through the leading of the Holy Spirit to
pray without ceasing. Father, we understand that praying is our responsibility,
but sometimes we fail to carry out this task, and so, Father, as we bow to pray
this morning, may we be directed by the Holy Spirit to pray as the spirit leads
through Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.
Have a peaceful day. Blessings. 💕🙏
Prayer should be the air we breathe. So important a subject. Weather we do it because we are ask to or willingly, it must be done.
ReplyDeleteThose who do sees results, those who neglect it are face with many challenges for whatever the situations are, the word reminds us, this kind goeth not out except by prayer and fasting. Have a wonderful day.
