Diverse Practices

Good morning

Scripture reading: Leviticus 18: 22-30

Worship song: Sodom Gomorrah

Meditation:

While the average person would be minding their own business, one cannot turn a blind eye to the fact that LGBTQ is no longer a hidden affair. Society has become more open and accepting of these sexually diverse groups, and now more than ever, it has become a normal way of living. We are advised to love, appreciate, accommodate, and welcome them in our homes, schools, jobs, and even in our congregation. We are called upon to accept and treat them with the utmost respect and regard their lifestyle as significant regardless of their sexual orientation. But how do you accept a lifestyle that is against your religious belief, one that stands against the principles and precepts of Almighty God?

As believers, we cannot and should not accept any behavior or principle that does not align with the teachings of Jesus Christ and the word of God. It matters not how feasible the cause is; nothing justifies a sinful act. Leviticus 18:22 clearly states that it's an abomination to have an affair with the same gender. In Gen. 2:24 the Lord emphasizes that a man and a woman should be joined together in unity, not a man with a man or a woman with a woman. We are reminded in Ephesians 5:11 that we should have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but rather reprove them. Therefore, as children of God, stand firm in your belief and do not be persuaded by the cry of the crowd.

 Let us pray:

Jehovah God, you have established your foundation and have put in place standards and moral principles for us to follow, yet the lust of the flesh and the curiosity of the mind cause us to divert our focus to that which displeases you, O God. Almighty God, we are broken vessels, a people searching for acceptance, contentment, and happiness that the world cannot offer, so this morning, Lord Jesus, I beseech you to touch those who are broken, weary, and struggling with their identity. Father, many have diverted to the secular world and are given over to their reprobate minds, but I pray, mighty God, that you will allow the Holy Spirit to convict them and the word of God will pierce their stony hearts. Bind, O God, every deceptive, conniving spirit, and silence the persuasive voices that speak lies to your people. Abba Father, you said you desire none to perish but that all come to repentance, so I pray, Daddy Jesus, that your ministering angels will continue to use every resource available to reach the lost and wayward until all resources are exhausted. Father, bring them to a place of acceptance of their gender and awareness of their identity through Jesus Christ our Advocate. Amen.

Peace and love. 💖✌

  2. Failure to adhere to the laws, statues and precepts of God, He will give one over to their reprobate mind to do what they want to do making more painful their consequences. Let us pray for those who don't see the danger that they may escape before before it is too late. Have a bless day and continue to raise the issues. Shalom.
