Nothing Can Separate Us
Good morning
Scripture reading: Isaiah 59:1-8
Worship song: Nothing Can Separate
Meditation:
The love of Christ is limitless; it does not come with any
condition; therefore, it does not depend on our actions or character. There is nothing
we can do to diminish or destroy his love for us, and nothing can separate us
from his love. Apostle Paul in Romans 8 proclaims that no one can separate us
from the love of Christ, not even tribulations, persecution, famine, death,
angels, etc. Though it is not possible to change how much God loves us, we can
cause God to turn his face away from us. God turned his face away not because
he no longer loves us but because our hearts are corrupt and filled with evil
deeds. Our sins and iniquities separate us from the Holy God because he does
not tolerate sin. We become separated from God when our hands are defiled with
the blood of the innocent, when our lips speak lies, when we meddle in
mischief, when our feet run to evil, and when we pursue vanities. Another
factor that separates us from God is the deceptive and destructive nature that
causes us to walk out of the will of God, doing that which pleases us. By
practicing and indulging in evil and iniquities, we have separated ourselves
from God.
Let us pray:
Sovereign God, I am grateful that there is nothing or anyone that can separate us from your love; neither is there anything that we can do to cause you to love us less. Thank you, Heavenly Father, for your unconditional love, grace, and mercy that are measureless. Almighty God, I acknowledge that our iniquities, our evil deeds, and our wantonness can cause a separation, and so, Father, we ask you to bind our hearts to you. Cleanse and purify our hearts, O God, of immoralities and carnal weakness. Forgive us, Father, for trespassing against you. Our God and Father, I beseech you, do not withhold Your tender mercies from us, and let Your lovingkindness and Your truth continually preserve us through Jesus Christ. Amen.
Have a peaceful day. 💕🙏
