Earnest Seekers
Good morning
Scripture reading: Jeremiah 29:11-14
Worship song: Seek Ye First
Meditation:
The nature of humans is to seek out things that satisfy their desires. The things you seek are evidence of your heart's desire. The earthly pleasures and possessions that we desire are only self-seeking attributes and gains, not a priority. If we seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness, all the things that are necessary and appropriate in this life according to God's will, he will grant it unto us. To seek the Lord means you desire to have a personal relationship with him, to learn more about him and his word, and to follow and obey his commands and precepts.
Seeking the Lord
means you set your mind and heart on God, not on the corporate world. Those who
sincerely seek after the Lord are those who continuously seek after
righteousness, holiness, meekness, and goodness. The kingdom of heaven is like
a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went
away and sold everything he had and bought it. When you seek and find the Lord,
your life will be transformed; you will be redeemed, and no longer will you be
held captive, bound by Satan's bondage, or having a craving desire for the
things that cannot satisfy you spiritually. You will experience God's presence
and walk in his blessings. If you seek the Lord earnestly with all your heart
and with all your soul, you will find him. God is a rewarder of those who
diligently seek him. Now is the accepted time to devote your heart and soul to
seeking the LORD, your God, while grace abounds.
Let us pray:
Lord God, I humble myself before you, seeking fulfillment for the things that cannot be satisfied by earthly gain and carnal lust. Almighty God, I desire to humble myself in your presence, trust you, and seek you with my whole heart, knowing you control my destiny. Lord, slay pride, uproot self-willpower, and make my heart Your home. Let my whole life be to seek after you only, Lord, while you may be found and grace abound. Lord, cleanse me of all impurities and unrighteousness, turn my attention away from the things of this world, and cause me to look to you, the God of my salvation through Jesus Christ. Amen.
Have a blessed day. Shalom. ✌👏💕
God bless.
ReplyDeleteFirst thing first. The mistake many people make is that they try everything and when everything fails they try Jesus. This is not priority, this is last resort. With Jesus first some time things look like it is going in the wrong direction God in His power turn it around. When one trust God there is no need to panic. Relax and enjoy the ride.
