Don't Suffer In Silent
Scripture reading: Job 2
Worship song: He Will Carry You
Meditation:
Physical, emotional, and spiritual pain has been and will be a part of the human experience. Some of us will suffer for the cause of Christ, some because of our choices, and some because we have rebelled against the God of creation. Job was a righteous man, yet his suffering was extreme, but he did not suffer alone, for God was with him through it all. Job suffered emotional distress when he lost all that he possessed, including all his children. And if that was not enough torture, his suffering intensified when he was afflicted with sores all over his body. Suffering is inevitable because we are living in a broken and sinful world. Suffering will certainly come, but God can provide us with grace and strength to overcome every ordeal. There is hope amid our suffering, so when your battle becomes unbearable, find solace in the God of comfort who can comfort us in all our struggles. Job stood steadfast, resilient, and unmovable despite questioning God about his affliction. Whatever the cause of your suffering, we serve a God who can deliver us out of all our struggles. Do not give up or give in; stand firm and see the salvation of our capable God.
Let's pray:
Merciful, wonderful Saviour blessed redeemer, and friend, I give you thanks, O God, for your spoken words reassuring us that the suffering we endure now cannot be compared to the glory that awaits us. Almighty God, comfort those of us who are suffering physical, emotional, and spiritual distress and grant us the strength to endure the struggles we encounter in this broken and sinful world. Father, whatever the cause of our struggles, I pray we will remain steadfast, rooted, and grounded, knowing, O God, that you are the mountain mover, the problem solver, and the burden bearer. All our struggles are cast on you, and I beseech you, O Lord, to lift our heavy burdens, take all our worries and anxieties that weigh us down, mighty God, and give us your peace in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Have a blessed day. 💕🙏
