Hey there, Welcome to Your Daily Dose of God!
Feeling overwhelmed by life's struggles? You're not alone, and you've come to the right place. Here, you'll find comfort, hope, and a daily dose of motivation to strengthen your walk with God.
There was a time when I felt hopeless, lonely, and frustrated. During those moments, I started writing these devotions with the Holy Spirit's guidance. They brought me peace and hope, and I want to share that same comfort with you.
After
the death of Joseph and the passing of the King of Egypt, a new ruler began to
reign who knew not about the role or affairs of Joseph. The new king, Pharaoh,
ruled with an iron fist, instructing the taskmasters to afflict the Israelites
and forcing them to work under oppression, but their cries did not fall on deaf
ears. God heard the cries of the Israelites. He knew their sorrows, and he saw
their affliction, and he said he came down to deliver them out of the hands of
their oppressors. God had revealed to Abraham that his generation would sojourn
in a strange land for four hundred years, and there they would undergo great
affliction. God assured Abraham that he would bring judgement to the nation of
Egypt and that He would deliver his generation from bondage. God was faithful
to His promise. You might have been praying constantly, pleading to God to
deliver you out of the hands of your oppressors. For years, you might be
seeking God's help to combat physical or spiritual issues while praying for
healing, deliverance, and breakthrough, but whatever your state, remember, God
sees, hears, and knows. Your cries have not fallen on deaf ears. Keep on
praying, and wait a little while longer, for God is not slack in his promise.
Wait and be of good courage, for the God who delivered the Israelites will
deliver you at the appointed time. Continue to pray and trust God
Let's pray:
Sovereign God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, Shadrach, Meshach,
and Abednego, the God who delivered the Israelites from bondage, I honour and
exalt you as my King. Promise keeping God, great in power, majesty, and
loyalty, the God who knows all about us, I worship you, for there is none like
you, mighty God. Abba Father, we often become overwhelmed with the chaos, the
cruelty, and the bitter woes we encounter, but remind us, O God, that we serve
a capable God who sees, knows, and hears and can deliver us from every
situation. Remind us, O God, that despite the affliction, the oppression, and
the acts of evil that surround us, you are still in control. Almighty God, to
us, the wait is long, but remind us, O God, that your ways of operating are
different from ours, and your thoughts surpass our limited thoughts. Abba
Father, grant us patience to wait upon you for help, Lord, for there is none to
deliver us except you, mighty God. Father, grant us courage and endurance as we
wait upon you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.Amen. (Child of the King).
Good morning Scripture reading: St. Matthew 13:3-9 Worship song: Rooted and Grounded Meditation: In the parable of the Sower who went to sow seeds, Jesus gave four different scenarios: the seed that fell on the wayside, the seed that fell on stony ground, the seed that fell among thorns, and the seed that fell on good ground. The seed that fell on the good ground represents the believers who hear the word, accept it, and bring forth fruit. The believers who are firmly anchored in Christ are like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, its leaves do not wither; and whatever they do will prosper. Those who are not firmly rooted endure but for a short time, for their roots are dried and their branches wither because they have no faith in God. They shall not stand in the congregation of the righteous. We must abide in Jesus Christ, rooted and built up in him and established in the fai...
Good morning Scripture: Genesis 39:1-21 Worship song: In the valley Meditation: The life of Joseph powerfully demonstrated God's sovereignty and grace for those who live faithfully and righteously. Joseph was divinely protected. Despite being sold to the slave traders, the favor of the Lord was upon him. God would have it that Joseph would be favored by his master, be promoted from a slave to a manager/overseer of Pharaoh's estate and household. As Joseph served faithfully and sincerely, the enemy plotted against him. Daily Joseph was tempted by his master's wife as she tried to beguile him to commit a forbidden act and to sin against God. Yet, Joseph stood firm and resisted. When she realized that Joseph would not yield, she became angry and lied to her husband, leading to Joseph's imprisonment. Though Joseph encountered many hardships, God’s presence and favor remained with him. What was meant for...
Good morning Scripture reading: Ezekiel 36:25-27 Worship sing: Empty me, Lord Meditation: Imagine a wastebasket filled yet you willfully continue to cram trash into it resulting in waste spilling onto the floor. This pattern demonstrates a heart filled with spiritual baggage that leaves no room for divine contentment, peace, growth, or new insight. Carrying the weight of past sins and unresolved guilt creates a roadblock, suffocating our inner growth. When the vessel is too full of life's daily mess, the spill pollutes our relationships as it diverts us from our divine purpose. Let the spiritual residue be a positive, transformative imprint left behind when you spend dedicated time in communion with God. They that looked at you, must do so in amazement, beholding the reflection of Jesus Christ in your life (Acts 4:13). Let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of Go...
Good morning Scripture reading: St. John 6:25-35 Worship song: Bread of Life Meditation: The bread that Jesus offers cannot be purchased with money, nor is it found in a bakery. No earthly combination of ingredients can produce this bread. This bread is not a product of earthly means but a divine provision symbolizing Jesus Christ himself. Addressing the multitude and his disciples, Jesus boldly identifies himself as the bread of life. He said, "I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world." Jesus is the bread of life, nourishing and sustaining us spiritually. Jesus promised that those who come to Him will have their spiritual hunger satisfied, and their thirsty souls quenched. "Incline your ear and come unto me," says the Lord; "hear, and your soul shall live, and I will make an ...
