Hey there, Welcome to Your Daily Dose of God!
Feeling overwhelmed by life's struggles? You're not alone, and you've come to the right place. Here, you'll find comfort, hope, and a daily dose of motivation to strengthen your walk with God.
There was a time when I felt hopeless, lonely, and frustrated. During those moments, I started writing these devotions with the Holy Spirit's guidance. They brought me peace and hope, and I want to share that same comfort with you.
After
the death of Joseph and the passing of the King of Egypt, a new ruler began to
reign who knew not about the role or affairs of Joseph. The new king, Pharaoh,
ruled with an iron fist, instructing the taskmasters to afflict the Israelites
and forcing them to work under oppression, but their cries did not fall on deaf
ears. God heard the cries of the Israelites. He knew their sorrows, and he saw
their affliction, and he said he came down to deliver them out of the hands of
their oppressors. God had revealed to Abraham that his generation would sojourn
in a strange land for four hundred years, and there they would undergo great
affliction. God assured Abraham that he would bring judgement to the nation of
Egypt and that He would deliver his generation from bondage. God was faithful
to His promise. You might have been praying constantly, pleading to God to
deliver you out of the hands of your oppressors. For years, you might be
seeking God's help to combat physical or spiritual issues while praying for
healing, deliverance, and breakthrough, but whatever your state, remember, God
sees, hears, and knows. Your cries have not fallen on deaf ears. Keep on
praying, and wait a little while longer, for God is not slack in his promise.
Wait and be of good courage, for the God who delivered the Israelites will
deliver you at the appointed time. Continue to pray and trust God
Let's pray:
Sovereign God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, Shadrach, Meshach,
and Abednego, the God who delivered the Israelites from bondage, I honour and
exalt you as my King. Promise keeping God, great in power, majesty, and
loyalty, the God who knows all about us, I worship you, for there is none like
you, mighty God. Abba Father, we often become overwhelmed with the chaos, the
cruelty, and the bitter woes we encounter, but remind us, O God, that we serve
a capable God who sees, knows, and hears and can deliver us from every
situation. Remind us, O God, that despite the affliction, the oppression, and
the acts of evil that surround us, you are still in control. Almighty God, to
us, the wait is long, but remind us, O God, that your ways of operating are
different from ours, and your thoughts surpass our limited thoughts. Abba
Father, grant us patience to wait upon you for help, Lord, for there is none to
deliver us except you, mighty God. Father, grant us courage and endurance as we
wait upon you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.Amen. (Child of the King).
Good morning Scripture reading: Romans 7:5-25 Worship song: God, You're So Good Meditation: There lies within each of us the tendency to do evil and the potential for good. However, the outcome depends on whether we choose to do evil or good. If we shun the appearance of evil, evil will not dwell in our presence, but if we meddle in or allow evil to reside within us, it will control and corrupt us. Apostle Paul testified of his struggles with the desire of the flesh. The flesh is corrupted, leading him to sin against his will. He is enslaved by the sinful nature within him. When he tries to do good, evil presents itself. He emphasizes that there is a struggle between the desire to do good and the pull of sin, a struggle that continues until the believer is fully redeemed. Evil is like cancer; once you ignore the signs and allow it to take root, it will never stop until it destroys your conscience, leaving you heartless, crue...
Good morning Scripture reading: Matthew 11:28-30 Worship song: God is Here Meditation: Imagine if we could weigh the heavy load we carry in our hearts and minds; no scale would be able to truly measure its weight. Many of us are heavily laden by the burdens of fear, mistakes, worries, anxieties, guilt, disappointment, stress, rejections, etc. We struggle with these burdens, constantly trying to rectify everything that does not align with our plans and desires. These pressures can overwhelm us, leading us to focus on things outside our control. Though Jesus invites us to release our burdens, we are reluctant to let them go. Jesus knows and understands our struggles. He assures us we can find relief by willingly surrendering our worries and anxieties to Him. Today, Jesus calls us to renounce every weight we bear: every sin that easily besets us, every guilt, worry, stress, anxiety, and frustration. Co...
Good morning Scripture reading: Romans 6:1-6 Worship song: Basics of Life Meditation: There is a growing public perception that many churches today are experiencing an identity crisis. In our attempt to accommodate those with different distinctive characters, we have dangerously compromised our moral standards. We cannot allow ourselves to lose our identity. We must remain vigilant and steadfast. The church risks losing its identity when it disconnects from its core biblical principles. A church that strays from its identity in Christ may still act like, look like, and sound like believers, but its heart remains far from God. When the church starts to prioritize worldly desires, seeks material gain, and relies on its own strength, it becomes spiritually disconnected from God. We must remember that friendship with the world is enmity with God. Any church that seeks to be a friend of the world ultimately becomes an enemy of Go...
Good morning Scripture reading: Proverbs 24:16-19 Worship song: I Will Boast in Christ Meditation: We often celebrate the downfall of our enemies in ignorance, but true wisdom advises us against taking satisfaction in the suffering or failure of our enemies. We are called to serve, pray, and fulfill God's will, and not to condemn and rejoice over our enemy's misfortune or when they stumble. Our responsibility is not to gloat over the misfortune of others, but to love them as God loved us. Instead of feeling excited when our enemies stumble, we must sincerely pray for them. Whatever persecution we encounter at the hands of our enemies, the ultimate response is to earnestly pray. Do not condemn others; leave all vengeance to God. As you ponder these profound words, ask yourself this provocative question: What do you do or say when your enemy stumbles? Do you feel a sense of excitement when you hear about their misfortune? We a...
