Striving Under Attack

Good morning

Scripture Reading: Ephesians 6:10-17

Worship song: We Have an Anchor

Meditation:

There’s one thing we can be sure of: as long as we reside in this world, we will be opposed by the enemy. We will encounter trials, persecution, and condemnation. But He that is with us is greater than those that are against us. He is our shield, stronghold, refuge, and so much more. Don't be alarmed if many of those who fight against you are members of the body of Christ. Do not rely on your own strength but the power of the Holy Spirit to discern that which is counterfeit. Remember, Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light. Don't be frightened when you are judged and condemned by your fellow men. Your Saviour, Jesus Christ encountered the same attack constantly by the religious cult of scribes and Pharisees. They follow Jesus wherever he goes, not to learn from him but to criticize and find fault with his work.

Be encouraged, stand resolute, and fear them not, for the LORD your God; he shall fight for you; he will establish you and keep you from evil. You have an anchor that keeps the soul steadfast and sure while the storm rages. He goes before you to fight for you. Therefore, no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that speaks evil against you will be condemned. Surely the Lord will save you from the fowler's snare and the deadly pestilence. God sees, he knows, and he hears everything. Whenever you encounter troubles on your left and your right, look to Jesus Christ, where your help comes from. Though enemies surround you, Jesus Christ will empower you. There is no giant too great that the Lord cannot defeat. Take your worries, your fears, and your frustration to God and leave it there.

Let us pray:

Sovereign God, you are great and greatly to be praised. I exalt and worship you, my king, because you are worthy to be praised. Almighty God, there are times when we become discouraged because those who should stand by us and help strengthen our faith are the ones who are tearing us down with their conniving spirit. Almighty God, I beseech you, O God, to grant us the courage to stand resolute and firm amidst the venom of the tongue that stings like a serpent. Give us, O God, the strength to remain steadfast and focused through the raging storm. Help us, Lord, not to look to the left or the right, but to focus our attention on you, O God, and on that which is significant and important for spiritual growth and empowerment. Lord, as we wrestle against principalities and rulers of darkness, as we encounter the opposing giants who war against us, help us to triumph and be victorious over all the plans of the adversary. Break, O God, the bows of our enemy and give us strength and endurance in difficult moments in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. (Child of the King).

Have a blessed day. 💕🙏

  1. What a friend we have in Jesus all our sins and grief to bear what a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer. Knowing how much Jesus cares for us we should cast all our cares upon Him. The battles that we are faced with in these last days are fierce and intense. Whatever happens on our battle field our victory is secured. Whatever wounds we suffer the aim is to keep going forward. As long as one does not quit, we will win because God is our help. We can do all things through Christ that strengthen us. Stay strong, help is on the way. God will send reenforcement. Be strong. Blessings.
