Worship With a Grateful Heart
Good morning
Scripture reading: Philippians 4:11-13
Worship song: Give Thanks
Meditation:
For several minutes I was speechless after watching a video
of a girl aged seven with legs amputated. She was not concerned about her legs
or about not being able to walk. She was not asking God why her, but instead
she asked God to use her to minister to the lost and spread the gospel. Despite
her state, she profoundly expressed her love and gratefulness to God. She is
encouraging everyone to put God first in everything. At some point in our
lifetime, we might encounter devastating and unexpected changes, but how we
handle it depends on our faith and our relationship with God. Those who
constantly murmur, complain, find fault, and blame God for their condition lack
appreciation and gratitude. We reap abundant blessings when we express our
gratitude to God with a sincere heart. If we truly do a survey, we will soon
realize that some persons are in a worse position than we are, yet they appreciate
and give thanks for everything. Apostle Paul encountered dangers and
persecutions, yet he proclaimed that whatever state he found himself in, he
found contentment. To be thankful in the worst situation demonstrates a level
of trust, appreciation, contentment, faith, and peace with our creator.
Let us pray:
Sovereign God, you are worthy of all honor and praise.
Father, Heavenly Father, I pray that no matter the tribulations we experience
here on earth, we will find peace amid our storm and that we will learn to
appreciate every encounter and give thanks regardless of our situations.
Father, I pray our hearts and souls are filled with joy, peace, and
thanksgiving, knowing that our hope is built on nothing less than your love and
righteousness. Almighty God, though at times, Lord, we feel overwhelmed by the difficulties
we face, the challenges we undergo, and the cross we have to bear, may we never
lose faith in your promises. Bring us, O God, to a place where we are no longer
compelled to grumble, blame, complain, or rebel against you, but give thanks
with a grateful and sincere heart. Heavenly Father, help us to wait patiently
upon you at all times and glorify you in whatever state we find ourselves.
Mighty One, I am grateful for the blessings that you have bestowed upon us and
for keeping us safe and secure under your wings. I am grateful, O God, for your
fresh anointing, your daily provision, your grace, and the mercies that are
extended unto us in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. Amen.
Have a blessed day. 💕🙏
It is necessary to understand life in christendom. With all the frustration and challenges one would think that being about Christ should be easier than it is. Some times it leaves one guessing. Where is God when I need Him most, does He forget about me. He never change and is always on time. Martin Luther King Jr. Said. If you can't run walk and if you can't walk crawl but keep going forward.
