Rejection is Redirection

Good morning

Scripture reading: Genesis 50:14-22

Worship song: Cry of The Broken

Meditation:

The life of Joseph gives a testament to the sovereignty and grace of God to those who live faithfully and righteously. Joseph was hated and rejected by his brothers. He was sold to the Ismaelite slave traders, who then sold him to Potiphar. Nonetheless, the favor of the Lord was upon Joseph. God elevated him to power as part of His divine plan to save his people from famine. Joseph became Pharaoh's advisor and second in command. Jesus, our high priest, was also despised and rejected by men, yet it did not alter or cancel the significance of his ultimate mission.

The impact of human rejection can be heart-rending and deeply emotional, but it will not diminish our value in God's eyes. No matter what your circumstances may be, be reassured that all things work together for good for those who love God and who are called according to his purpose. Even in difficult times, God is near to those who are broken-hearted and will ultimately deliver them. God will use adversity, affliction, and rejection to get our attention so that we can hear his voice when he says, “This is the way; walk in it” (Isaiah 30:21).

Let us pray:

Sovereign God, we want to give you thanks for all things, believing according to your promise that all things will work together for good for those who love you and are called according to your purpose. Abba Father, we are grateful that our circumstances and adversity do not determine our destiny. We give you thanks, Lord, for keeping a close watch over those who are broken in spirit. Thank you for hearing the cries of the righteous and for delivering them out of all troubles. We are grateful, Lord God, that none that trust you will be desolate. Lord, we denounce the spirit of rejection and declare freedom from any negative emotion that comes with it. Father, strengthen us and help us view rejection as a positive shift leading to better opportunity. Whenever we encounter rejection, may we, O God, see it as redirection to your sovereign plan in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Have a wonderful day.

  1. All things work together for good to them that love the Lord who are called according to His purpose. This is a perfect statement because not everything that looks good is good and it is through the leading of the Holy Spirit that we are kept from evil. When we fail in our discernment the Spirit of the Lord turn things around to our benefit. Even when we don't see it immediately, in the long run we will thank Him. He will not lead us astray, neither will He allow the devil to pluck us out of His hands.
God got His hands on you and you will never suffer loss. God bless you richly and always. 🙏🙏🙏
