The Power of Love
Good morning
Scripture reading: St. John 3:14-21
Praise song: If that isn't love
Meditation:
Love, expressed appropriately, can significantly impact our behavior, well-being, and ability to connect with others. Love is the most powerful gift to humans, which is a complex force much deeper than emotional or physical attraction. Love is patient, compassionate, and kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, and it is not proud. Love does not dishonor others; it is not self-seeking; it is not easily angered; and it keeps no record of wrongs. It is a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person. Love endures and overcomes every challenge and grows stronger through adversity.
The true power
of love was demonstrated by Jesus Christ, who expressed His unlimited,
matchless love for humanity by sacrificing His life for us. Jesus' love is
greater than any you can find. He came to earth in the form of flesh, walked
among sinful men, and expressed his love through healing miracles and
deliverance. He was ridiculed and scorned. He endured the chastisement and
punishment reserved for a guilty criminal. Jesus sacrificed his life for us to
obtain salvation and eternal life. He took the stripes for us; every wound and
every pain he bore was for the remission of our sins and for our healing. The
undiluted, unlimited, matchless love of Jesus Christ is available to all who
seek Him. If this isn't true love, I don't know what love is.
Let us pray:
Loving Savior, in moments like these, I lift my hands in sacrifices of thanksgiving unto you, singing, "I love you, Lord." Sovereign God, I thank you for laying down your life for humanity. We are grateful that you have exhibited your love for a world that was without hope. We appreciate your exemplary lifestyle portrayed here on earth as an indication of how we should treat others. Mighty God, I agree with the scripture, and I am convinced that if we do not love the persons around us whom we come in contact with daily, we cannot truly say we love you. Abba, Father, help us to love and accept our neighbors, relatives, and even our enemies. Remove our hard hearts and give us hearts of love, kindness, and compassion, O God. If we have wounded anyone intentionally or unintentionally, please grant us the courage to make amends. Please teach us to love as you love, to care as you care, and to render good instead of evil. Cleanse and purify our hearts, O God, of iniquity, selfishness, hatred, impatience, bitterness, unkindness, envy, and hatred in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. (Child of the King).
Have a wonderful and blessed day. 💕🙏
