The Scars That Never Fade
Good morning
Scripture Reading: Isaiah 61:1-3
Worship Song: When His Wounded Hands...
Meditation:
Visible scars on our bodies serve as a powerful reminder of the wounds we have endured from painful experiences. They testify to our resilience and strength as survivors. They reflect not only the struggles we faced but also remind us that we have triumphed over them.
Unlike many scars we bear, the scars of Jesus are not the result of accident or wrongdoing. The scars on His hands, feet, and side represent the nail scars of profound injustice he willingly endured for humanity. He endures the pain and agony of nails hammering through him for our sake. He was wounded and afflicted for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities, and bore every stripe for spiritual, emotional, and physical healing. Because of His ultimate sacrifice, we have the opportunity to live eternally.
To reject Jesus Christ is to turn
away from the greatest gift ever awarded to humans. Accept Jesus Christ, repent,
confess, and surrender all to him, and you will be saved from the wrath to
come.
My blessed redeemer, it is joyful to know that through your ultimate sacrifice, we can embrace everlasting life and be liberated from the burden of our sins. Abba Father, I belong to you, and I am eternally grateful to you for the moment you reached down and rescued me from my deepest despair. Daddy Jesus, your scars I have learned to appreciate, for they represent the stains of my sins that were nailed to the cross. Father, I am extremely grateful that You have transformed my life, given me beauty for ashes, and turned my mourning into dancing. In times when I saw only pain, darkness, and scars, you showed me life and mercy. I am sincerely grateful that I am no longer what I used to be because you live inside me. Thank you, Lord, for your efficacious blood that was shed to liberate the captive and open the prison doors to release us from the bondage of sin. Amen.
Peace and love. Shalom. ✌💓🙏
There is always something there to remind us. That is sufficient enough. It is the weakness of human to forget but with a reminder we will stay aligned.
