The Righteous and The Ungodly
Good morning
Scripture reading: Psalms 1
Worship song: Holiness
Meditation:
The Psalmist identifies some fundamental differences between
two distinctive ways of life: the way of the righteous and the way of the
ungodly. Blessed people walk confidently, wrapped in God’s amazing gift of
favor. A godly-minded person joyfully chooses righteousness, delights in God's
presence, and refuses to associate with the morally corrupt and wicked. The
righteous does not take advice or be influenced by those who do not follow
God's law. The person who delights in God's law willingly chooses to know more
about God, His commands and precepts, and is eager to learn and follow his
teachings. When a righteous person meditates on the word of God, they are
empowered spiritually, creating a deep and joyful reflection that nourishes and
enriches the soul. The wicked though spread like a green bay tree is like the
chaff that is separated through threshing. The ungodly will perish but the
righteous will prevail.
Let us pray:
Father, I am grateful for your wondrous work and
faithfulness to those who earnestly seek you. Lord, as we journey through this
earth, enjoying the blessings you have bestowed upon us, may our lives reflect
the love of Christ and his righteousness. May we continuously delight in your
law and meditate on your words day and night. May your word become our daily
anthem, empowering us spiritually as it nourishes our souls. Father, help us to
remain focused, vigilant, and steadfast, rooted in Your word and living in a
manner that pleases You. Help us, Lord God, to find joy in your word, walk
upright, and be like a tree firmly planted by the streams of water, bearing
good fruit and flourishing. Grant us, O God, strength to resist ungodly
influences in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Wishing you many blessings. 💕🙏
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the ways of the ungodly nor standeth in the way of sinners nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. There are many of those ways and seats around but we must have discernment to know the difference. When we fail to involve God in what we do when things goes wrong we call upon Him, even though He will come to our rescue, we must not involve Him at the last but at the first.
