Hurt People Hurt Others
Good morning
Scripture: Ephesians 4: 22-32
Praise song: Wounded soldiers
Meditation:
Those who have been hurt often inflict pain on others, not out of malice, but because their own unresolved suffering causes them to become defensive and withdrawn. This deep-rooted sorrow can lead them to lash out seemingly without reason, a behavior that is a reflection of their own struggles rather than a deliberate attempt to harm. Their painful past makes them guarded, and they may push others away as a way of coping with their internal chaos.
While you may be eager to move past the pain, genuine recovery
from such betrayal does not happen instantly. It is a gradual process that
requires patience with yourself as you navigate through your emotions. When
life's hurts leave our hearts wounded and scarred, we can find enduring comfort
and restoration only in Jesus Christ. He is a constant source of comfort and
light, eager to guide us through our pain toward a better future. When we
surrender our struggles to Jesus and cast all our cares upon him, he will lift
our heavy burdens and give us a peace that endures, a peace that surpasses all
understanding.
Let us pray:
God of miracles, I stand in awe of your matchless power,
compassion, mercy, and unconditional love. Be lifted, O God, above all others
as we lay our crowns and worship you. O God of wonders, we are humbled by your
divine grace, and we magnify you for your power to heal the wounded hearts,
mend the broken vessels, and erase the scars of pain and suffering. We lay our
troubles at the foot of the cross, O God, where we know that heavy burdens are
lifted. We release our anxieties, worries, and stress to you, and pray that you
would free our hearts and minds from their oppressive weight. Heal the pain we
have endured for so long, so that our words and actions might bring healing,
not harm, to those we love. Heavenly Father, please rid us of all bitterness,
wrath, anger, and evil speaking, and help us to show kindness towards others,
to become tenderhearted, and forgive others as you have forgiven us through
Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Wishing you a peaceful day. ✌💗🙏
Oh what needless pain we bear. Human must take time to understand another human. This is often ignored because of one's own selfishness and this is a major problem. Carrying the pain and frustration of others while putting your own aside requires more than our own patience but God and the power of the Holy Spirit. Some of life's toughest challenges caused many to crumble because there is no God to help them urgently nor over a period of time. David said, this poor man cried and the Lord heard Him and delivered Him out of all his troubles. We should not dear to deal with things without the Lord involved. Our help cometh from the Lord. Shalom. 🙏🙏
