The Power of Love
Good morning
Scripture reading: St. John 3:14-21
Praise song: If that isn't love
Meditation:
Love, expressed appropriately, can significantly impact our behavior, well-being, and ability to connect with others. Love is the most powerful gift to humans, which is much deeper than emotional or physical attraction. Love is patient, compassionate, and kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, and it is not proud. Love does not dishonor others; it is not self-seeking; it is not easily angered; and keeps no record of wrongs. Love endures and overcomes challenge and grows stronger through adversity.
The true
power of love was demonstrated by Jesus Christ, who expressed His unlimited,
matchless love for humanity by sacrificing His life for us. Jesus' love is
greater than any you can find. He came to earth in the form of flesh, walked
among sinful men, and expressed his love through healing miracles and
deliverance. He was ridiculed and scorned. He endured the chastisement and
punishment reserved for a guilty criminal. Jesus sacrificed his life for us to
obtain salvation and eternal life. He took the stripes for us; every wound and
every pain he bore was for the remission of our sins and our healing. The
undiluted, unlimited, matchless love of Jesus Christ is extended to all no
matter your lifestyle. If that isn't true love, I don't know what love is.
Let us pray:
Loving Savior, in moments like these, I lift my hands in sacrifices of thanksgiving unto you, singing, "I love you, Lord." Sovereign God, I thank you for laying down your life for humanity. We are grateful that you have exhibited your love for a world that was without hope. Abba, Father, help us to love and accept our neighbors, relatives, and even our enemies as you have taught us. Remove our hard hearts and give us hearts of love, kindness, and compassion, O God. If we have wounded anyone intentionally or unintentionally, please grant us the courage to make amends. Teach us, O God, to love as you love, to care as you care, and to render good instead of evil. Cleanse and purify our hearts, O God, of iniquity, selfishness, hatred, impatience, bitterness, unkindness, envy, and hatred in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
Wishing you a lovely day.
I speak of love in my other communication and hear you mentioned it in the devotion. This is the hour for love and more so the love of God which is the base for all other love because to love ones neighbor it requires the love of God or else we cannot do it. Love plays a key role in everything we do, therefore we must exercise it to let it grow. Let us continue to operate in love for Jesus said, by this shall all men know that ye are my disciples if ye love one another. ❤️
