The Scars That Never Fade

Good morning

Scripture Reading: St. John 20: 24-28

Worship Song: Scars in The Hand of Jesus

Meditation:

Visible body scars are a powerful, lasting testament to overcoming past pain, symbolizing endurance and triumph rather than just injury. They represent personal strength and the courageous survival of difficult experiences. Unlike our own scars, which often stem from mishaps or mistakes, the scars of Jesus Christ testify to His victory over sin and death. The scars on His hands, feet, and side represent the nail scars of profound injustice he willingly endured to redeem mankind. Jesus embraced the agony of crucifixion to bring us peace. He was wounded and afflicted for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities, and bore every stripe for spiritual, emotional, and physical healing. Because of His ultimate sacrifice, we have the opportunity to live eternally.

To reject Jesus Christ is to turn one's back on the only sacrifice capable of redeeming us. Nothing in this world can truly sacrifice; Jesus is the only source that will never run dry. He will guide us continually, and satisfy our soul in drought, and we shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. Today is your chance to fully surrender to Jesus Christ and drink from the ever-flowing fountain of His grace.

Let's pray.

My blessed redeemer, it is joyful to know that through your ultimate sacrifice, we can embrace everlasting life and be liberated from the burden of our sins. Abba Father, I belong to you, and I am eternally grateful to you for the moment you reached down and rescued me from my deepest despair. Daddy Jesus, your scars I have learned to appreciate, for they represent the stains of my sins that were nailed to the cross. Father, I am extremely grateful that You have transformed my life, given me beauty for ashes, and turned my mourning into dancing. In times when I saw only pain, darkness, and scars, you showed me grace and mercy. I am sincerely grateful that I am no longer what I used to be because you live inside me. Thank you, Lord, for your efficacious blood that was shed to liberate the captive and open the prison doors to release us from the bondage of sin. Amen.

Wishing you joy and peace. Shalom. ✌👏🙏
