Get Rid of The Dregs
Good morning
Scripture reading: Zephaniah 1:12
Worship song: Forever At Your Feet
Meditation:
Dregs represent the undesirable, the most worthless, or the solid particles that tend to settle at the bottom of some liquids. One can also consider dregs as the residues or sediments that remain after a process of separating the wanted from the unwanted. Sin is the unfiltered sediment in our lives. It has no value other than to separate us from our Heavenly Father and create a blockage detrimental to our spiritual growth. It will destroy our communication, prayer life, and relationship with Jesus Christ. Sin is the stubborn lees we fail to cleanse, the sediment that clings to the depths of our souls.
The dregs that settle at the bottom of your coffee, tea, or other
beverages are wasted substances that are never consumed. Why then, do we accept
sin and remain comfortable when it is only corrupting our conscience? All
unconfessed sin will gradually erode our hearts and diminish our desire for
God. We must not allow sin to reside in our hearts. If we permit the dregs of
sin to settle within us without divine purification, our connection with God
will be broken. Let us invite Almighty God to sift us and purge us from sin.
Strive to live a holy and righteous life, accepted before Almighty God, and our reward will be eternal.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, try me by your fire so that I may be refined. Here is my heart, Lord, take and mold it. I seek to be wholly consumed by You, Lord set apart to fulfill Your will. Almighty God, sift me like wheat and purify my heart, soul, and mind until I am fully cleansed. Purify my thoughts, O God, and remove the dregs of sin, the hidden sins that are not visible or easily detected, sin known only to you, Lord. If there is iniquity within me or if my spiritual life remains barren, I humbly ask that you connect me to the source of life. Dismantle every hindering stronghold and recharge my spiritual vitality. Mighty One, I desire to dwell prostrate in your presence daily at your feet. Please remove anything that obstructs my devotion to You, Lord. Jehovah God, incline my heart to Your testimonies and fill me anew with life so that I may fulfill Your will through the all-powerful name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, my Lord and King. Amen.
Wishing you a day filled with joy. 👐💕🙏
