Squatters Occupying the Land

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Numbers 34:1-13 Worship Song: Way Maker   Meditation:      God made a covenant with Abraham in which he promised he would multiply his seed and make of him a great nation. God promised to bless him and his generation and give them the land of Canaan. The land was already occupied by various inhabitants, but God had to evict them so that Abraham and his descendants could possess the land. Our thoughts and hearts are vulnerable to the controlling influence of Satan's forces, who act as spiritual squatters.       To remove these spiritual intruders, we must invite Jesus Christ to take possession of our inner lives. Satan and his cohorts will remain inhabitants until we actively invite Jesus Christ into our lives to forcibly evict these unwanted spiritual tenants. Jesus Christ wants the Holy Spirit, the Comforter to reside within us, but we are too comfortable frolicking with the residents that he wants to dri...

Spiritual Decline

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Isaiah 59:1-4 Worship song: Here's My Heart   Meditation:      Spiritual decline refers to a decrease or deterioration of one's connection to the Divine, marked by a decline in faith, moral integrity, spiritual wisdom, or religious devotion. This is often caused by disobedience to God's word, increased idolatry practices, indulgence in worldly pleasures, and a decrease in godly and ethical standards. Neglecting to pray and a lack of spiritual energy, demonstrated by a loss of desire to worship and connect with other believers, mark the beginning of all spiritual decline.       When we neglect God's divine direction and uphold our own standards, it demonstrates spiritual blindness and a hardness of heart. It is our unholy actions that create a barrier between us and God. As stated in Isaiah 52, our wrongful actions caused God to turn away, preventing Him from hearing our pleas as He withdraws Himself f...

There Is Hope for The Lost

Image
Good morning Scripture Reading: Ezekiel 18: 20-32 Worship Song: There Is Hope in The Lord   Meditation:      The Bible recounts many fascinating stories of God's work in the lives of patriarchs, who became great men for his divine purpose. The scripture highlights that no person is beyond redemption through a divine encounter. It points to three biblical figures whose lives were radically altered by God: Moses after committing murder and fleeing into exile, encountered God at a burning bush and was transformed from a fugitive to a deliverer of Israel. Saul was a fierce persecutor of Christians, yet his life was drastically changed after a powerful encounter with Jesus, leading him to become a passionate preacher of the gospel. David was an adulterer and an accomplice to murder, but after a spiritual conversion, he became a man after God's own heart.       As long as you encounter God, you will never remain the same. He will remove from y...

If God Be for Us

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Romans 8:31-39 Worship song: If God Is for Me   Meditation:      With God on your side, no enemy can truly triumph over you, even when it seems they are succeeding during persecution or tribulation. It may look like they are succeeding when they mock us or threaten us, but God's purpose and support for us are far greater than any force against us. Though we are oppressed and chastised by our adversary, we shall overcome for we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us. We are reminded by Apostle Paul that nothing can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.       Amidst human rejection, we can draw strength from the knowledge that God's love is beyond measure and without condition. Do not be dismayed or fear those who are against you for God will never leave you. He will strengthen you and uphold you with His righteous right hand. If God be for us, tell me who can t...

Restored by God's Grace

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Numbers 12 Praise song: Your Grace and Mercy   Meditation:      Miriam and Aaron criticized their younger brother Moses, using his marriage to an Ethiopian woman as a pretext to question his authority. They believed that God spoke through them as much as did through Moses. Their constant utterance against Moses, the chosen servant kindled the wrath of God. Miriam was struck with leprosy and was shut out of the camp.   Because she was unable to journey with them in her state, the people had to wait until she recovered and returned to the camp. The rebellious spirit that existed then is still evident in us today, for we sometimes rebel against those who carry out God's work, driven by our own beliefs about their incompetence or their unsuitability for ministry, speaking highly against them to anyone who cares to listen.       Aaron and Miriam complained and murmured against Moses, by challenging his div...

Thou of Little Faith

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Matthew 14:22-33 Worship Song: Didn't I Walk on The Water   Meditation:      Displaying exceptional faith and courage, Peter stepped onto the water's surface at Jesus's command. But when he saw the fierce wind and boisterous waves, fear conquered his faith, causing him to sink as he took his eyes off Jesus. Like Peter, we often start with unwavering faith but panic and succumb to fear, anxiety, and worry the moment we encounter difficult challenges. Fear will prevail where we fail to acknowledge Jesus' sovereignty and power to overcome the impossible.       The apostles marveled at Jesus' power and sovereignty, but he promised they would one day perform even mightier deeds than his. Beloved, remember the wonder-working power of Christ and trust in His hand. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and do not fear or tremble, for He who calms the sea and quenches the fiery furnace can calm the giants in and around us. Be r...

Waiting Cultivates Patience

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Psalms 130 Worship song: I Will Wait for You   Meditation:      The Bible is rich with stories demonstrating God's faithfulness to his promises, revealing how and when they were accomplished. The biblical accounts of Abraham, Sarah, Hannah, and Joseph illustrate how God's promises unfold over time, through testing, and in ways that are often unexpected. While the divine promise took many years to materialize for these individuals, their stories demonstrate God's enduring faithfulness. Patience is a virtue that is built over time as a result of waiting for a promise to be fulfilled. However, not everyone has the gift of waiting patiently.       Habakkuk 1:1-2 highlights the prophet's frustration and confusion over the delay of God's judgment, as he witnessed widespread violence and injustice, leading him to question why God seems unmoved by his desperate cries for divine intervention. Like the Prophet Habak...

Change The Rhythm

Image
Good morning Scripture Reading: Psalms 40:1-5 Worship song: God Is Good All the Time   Meditation:      What tune are you dancing to this morning? Maybe you are entertained by a song that is robbing you of your joy, and peace of mind. Perhaps it is robbing you of hope, happiness, and contentment, causing you to be angry, grumpy, miserable, depressed, bitter, and cold-hearted. This is the type of music we dance to outside of Christ. The life we live outside of Jesus Christ is the old records, playing to the tunes of hatred, grief, adultery, fornication, drunkenness, envy, strife, wrath, and idolatry. If that is the case with you, now is a good time to consider changing that soundtrack. Trade in those old records for new songs of praise and enjoy the rhythm of love, joy, peace, contentment, patience, and meekness.      We often select the wrong music and dance to the rhythm of the blues, rocking with the devil, but we are reminded to purposeful...

The Two Different Paths

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Matthew 7:13-14 Worship song: Road is rough   Meditation:      Jesus, while speaking to his followers, used the gate metaphorically to bring about an awareness of the two different paths that exist. The gates represent the narrow road that leads to everlasting life and the broad road that leads to destruction. The broad road is for those who choose not to surrender to God and whose lifestyle choices do not align with God's will. It is for those who desire the glamour and glitter the world offers. The broad road is for the ungodly. On the other hand, the narrow road leads to a truly satisfying life, one filled with joy, peace, and love that grows sweeter with each passing year. This road is for those who choose to follow Christ. It is for those who swear allegiance to the Lamb.       We are given choices, and our designation will determine which path we take. When the treasures you have lived for in this wo...

Called to Serve

Image
Good morning Scripture: Matthew 10:1-20 Hymn: Just as I am  Meditation:      Jesus Christ selected ordinary persons to serve as his disciples and then he equipped them with power over unclean spirits, to cast them out and to heal all manner of sickness and diseases. Among those whom Jesus chose to be his disciples were tax collectors and fishermen. As Jesus sent forth his disciples to serve, he gave them clear instructions to take the gospel to those who would listen and to the lost sheep. The disciples were told that they would encounter some stubborn, self-willed persons, who would reject the gospel.       The disciples were sent among the vilest of sinners and were advised to use wisdom, be harmless, and focus on their mission. They were also warned about the persecution they would eventually encounter. If you are called to serve, do so with a willing heart, knowing that you are serving a mighty, promise-keeping God. Do not be concerned...

Appointed For a Purpose

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: 2 Chronicles 20:18-22 Worship Song: Atmosphere Shift   Meditation:      The people of Judah, led by King Jehoshaphat, demonstrated their submission and reliance on God by responding to the threat of their enemy with a physical act of worship, instead of focusing on their fears. When they heard the prophetic word, they bowed their heads in reverence as they worshiped and praised God. Their praise was so powerful that a burst of jubilee erupted in the atmosphere as the selected singers echoed joyful sounds of victory and praise. My beloved friends, note what happened when the people of Judah began to sing and praise the Lord. God intervened, causing the enemy to turn against each other in a confused, self-destructive battle. This is a powerful reminder that we overcome by faith in God's power, not by fearing our enemies. Life can be challenging, but praising God makes all the difference.       If we are dete...

The Massive Invasion

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: 2 Chronicles 20:1-17 Worship song: The Battle Is Not Yours   Meditation:      When King Jehoshaphat heard that a large army planned an attack against his kingdom, he earnestly sought the Lord and proclaimed a solemn fast throughout all Judah. King Jehoshaphat turned to the powerful sovereign Lord for divine help knowing his army was defenseless against the invaders. He held steadfast to his belief and faith in God’s fulfilled promises, specifically when God drove out the inhabitants of Canaan so that Abraham's descendants could dwell in the land.       The king's prayer proclaimed God's unmatched authority and sovereignty. He confessed his people's weakness and their absolute dependence on God for rescue. He ended his prayer declaring they know not what to do, but their eyes are on God. After the prayer, the prophet, Jahaziel delivered a divine message from the Lord, instructing them not to fear, for the b...

The Rejected and Overlooked

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Genesis 29:28-31 Worship song: Grace   Meditation:      Leah's marriage to Jacob was not by choice but a result of her father, Laban's deceit. Despite the difficulty she encountered in her marriage, she was favoured in the eyes of the Lord. God acknowledged Leah's heartache over her husband's neglect and blessed her with children, whose names testified to her gratitude for God's divine help. She learned to find joy, peace, and contentment even in a challenging situation by focusing on God's blessings and plan.       You might be qualified for a task but overlooked and rejected. You may have been trying for years to make the team, be recognized, or be accepted, but still, no one notices you. Do not be discouraged or dismayed, God sees and knows your potential. His plans for you are greater than any human perspective. Instead of dwelling on what you cannot change, place your trust in God, who has the power t...

The Conditional Promise

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: 2 Chronicles 7:14 Worship song: If My People   Meditation:      After the dedication of the temple, the Lord appeared to Solomon with a covenant promise. In this profound message to the Israelites, God promised to heal their land and forgive their transgressions a divine covenant that comes with conditions. In return for their freedom, God specified four conditions that must be fulfilled by the Israelites.       The first recommendation was for the Israelites to humble themselves before God and acknowledge their dependence on him. Secondly, they were to communicate with God through fervent prayer. Thirdly, seek and pursue a deeper relationship with God and align their lives to his will. And the fourth recommendation was to recognize and take responsibility for their sins, making a conscious choice to change their behavior and seek God's forgiveness.       This scripture states that when...

Left Behind

Image
Good morning Day for Testimony - Left Behind   Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. St. Matthew 24: 40-41 Worship song: I pray We'll Be Ready   Personal Testimony:     My recent awareness of others sharing rapture experiences has brought to memory a vivid vision from my past. During my teenage years, I witnessed a celestial event in which the clouds burst open, revealing the appearance of the Son of God, surrounded by a bright light, looking down on the earth while people were busy ascending. In that moment, my family was taken upward, and I was left behind, weeping bitterly. Though it was just a dream, the thought of being left behind by God and abandoned by my loved ones was profoundly traumatic, leaving me with a crippling awareness of the possibility of rejection caused by a life not totally surrendered to God.   ...

Spiritual Awakening

Image
Good morning Day of Prayer - For the Church And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. St. Matthew 16:18 Worship song: Upon This Rock   Let us Pray:      Most righteous, eternal, and merciful God, we submit to your authority knowing you are worthy to receive glory, honor, and praise. Father, I intercede on behalf of the churches; the genuine worshippers and the ones leading your children astray. I pray, O God, for a holy visitation upon those who profess to be walking in light but are still walking in the darkness. I pray, Lord God, that the hour will arrive when we all worship you in spirit and truth. Father, we acknowledge that the signs of the times are everywhere. We realize that many false prophets have risen up among us creating confusion by spreading false teachings. Lord, these false teachers have found themselves among the body of Christ appearing a...

The Lord Has Broken Thy Works

Image
Good morning Scripture: 1 Kings 22: 48-53 Worship song: Spirit of the Living God   Meditation:      Jehoshaphat was thirty-five when he became king of Judah and served Jerusalem for twenty-five years, following in the footsteps of his father Asa. Jehoshaphat worshipped not the gods of his ancestors but sought the Lord God of his father, Asa, and walked according to God's commands. Therefore, the Lord was with Jehoshaphat and gave him control over Judah, and all the people brought him gifts so that he became extremely wealthy.       After his father's death, he joined an alliance with Israel's King Ahaziah to make ships in Ezion-Geber. Jehoshaphat’s desire to build ships was so that he could get gold from Ophir, but the fleet of ships was destroyed by the Lord in Ezion-Geber before they set sail to Tarshish because he chose to work with someone who worshiped foreign gods. The king of Israel, Ahaziah, had done wickedness in the sight of Go...

Do Not Quit, Try Again

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Proverbs 24:15-16 Worship song: Survivor   Meditation:      History tells us many examples of inventors, explorers, and leaders who failed multiple times before attaining success. One of the most famous is Thomas Edison, credited with inventing the carbon telephone transmitter, light bulb, and phonograph. It took 1,000 unsuccessful attempts before he created the first light bulb. It is said that many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up. In our walk of faith, our identity is found in God's unending love, not our past mistakes. It is the beginning of a new chapter guided by faith.       The righteous man will never quit, for though he falls, he will rise again. His steps are ordered by the Lord, and he protects those who please him. If the righteous fall, they will not stay down, because the Lord will help them. It is not the end when a righ...

Come and Celebrate

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Exodus 15:1-21 Worship song: Celebrate Jesus Celebrate   Meditation:      To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven where joy and celebration are inevitable. Celebration is a spiritual discipline and one that we need to practice daily. There are many reasons to celebrate. While Moses guided the Israelites through the Red Sea to freedom, his sister Miriam, a prophetess, led the women in a joyous celebration with music and dance. With a heart full of gratitude, Hannah celebrated God's faithfulness after He blessed her with a son. With the rebuilding of Jerusalem's walls finished, Nehemiah guided the people in offering great sacrifices and rejoicing loudly in God.       Today, we commemorate the resurrection of Christ, our Lord, who, through his atoning sacrifice, provided salvation from the inescapable power of sin. The act of celebration serves as a profound affirmation o...

Move Mountain

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: St. Matthew 17:14-21 Worship song: Who Are You Great Mountain   Meditation:      The emotional story relating to a desperate father's concern for his son's well-being is a reminder that faith is not about evidence; it is believing and hoping for a favorable outcome despite uncertainty. Jesus demonstrated that faith is sustained by hope, not evidence. At Jesus' command, the tormenting spirit immediately departed, bringing an end to the boy's emotional suffering. The comforting message of Jesus reveals the power through faith to overcome obstacles that seem impossible. Jesus used a mountain as a metaphor to illustrate the insurmountable challenges we encounter.       With a faith anchored in God's power, like a tiny mustard seed, we can overcome the mountain-sized obstacles that disrupt our spiritual, physical, or emotional state. The lesson is not about the size of our faith, but that our victory depends on...

Somebody Prayed

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: St. Matthew 6:9-13 Worship song: Somebody Pray for Me   Meditation:      Prayer is an essential tool in the lives of every believer, which is a form of direct communication with our Heavenly Father. Through prayer, we seek divine help for seen and unforeseen troubles by appealing to God for guidance, protection, and strength. When we pray, we acknowledge our dependence on God and trust Him to change the situation we commit to Him. We are assured in Psalms 102:17 that God will regard the prayer of the destitute and not despise their prayer.      The prayers of those living righteously are heard and powerful and effective enough to bring about significant results. The word of God promises us in Matthew 21 that whatsoever we ask in prayer, believing, we shall receive. According to the scriptures, Hannah and Elizabeth prayed fervently to God about their barrenness. After many years of ceaseless prayer, God rem...

Why Don't You Try Jesus?

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: 1 John 4:4-6 Worship song: Praise His Name   Meditation:      The social environment significantly influenced our development and how we deal with adversity. Whatever we are exposed to and whoever influences us can positively or negatively impact us. Our coping mechanism depends on our personal habits and the impact of the people we surround ourselves with. God does not govern our choices. He has given us the power to choose.       We must recognize when our decisions are harmful and have the wisdom to choose a different path. Redirection provides the essential and ultimate change for individuals who have been led astray and have pursued a destructive path. The adversary's plan is to keep us bound and distracted by worldly influences, but Jesus provides a pathway to liberation for all who call on his name. If you are uncomfortable and your choice is a burden, come and lay it all down, and Jesus will give y...

The Scapegoat Ritual

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Leviticus 16 Worship song: By His wounds   Meditation:      A scapegoat is a goat used in a biblical ritual, described in Leviticus, to achieve atonement and purification for the Israelites. On the Day of Atonement, the people's sins were symbolically transferred to the goat, which was then sent into the wilderness to carry their transgressions away. The ritual that was practice before Christ's sacrificial offering was the priest would lay both his hands upon the head of a live goat and confess over it all the iniquities and transgressions of the sins of the children of Israel, putting them upon the head of the goat, and then send it away by the hand of a competent man into the wilderness and release it in the wild.       Today, we are humbly invited into the presence of God's grace to confess our sins before our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and it was for our tra...

Stapled Together

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Psalms 133 Worship Song: Bind Us Together   Meditation:      The first known device for fastening papers was reportedly created for King Louis XV. Each staple was handcrafted and inscribed with the royal court's insignia. The stapler's primary purpose is to secure a collection of papers into a single document, preventing the pages from becoming disorganized or lost.       Similar with believers, faith acts as the staple, providing the stability and strength to remain steadfast against the storms of life and the forces of adversity. The believer's core function is to join in love with one accord in faith to proclaim the name of Jesus Christ and spread the gospel. Together we provide stability and strength by supporting and encouraging each other.       Apostle Paul's words in 1 Corinthians 1:10 urge all believers to be united in thought and speech, perfectly joined together, having the s...

Failed to Persevere

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: 2 Timothy 4 Worship song: I Will Follow You   Meditation:      In his final letter to Timothy, Apostle Paul encouraged Timothy to be a steadfast leader, to persevere through suffering, and to preach and teach the truth despite false teachings and persecution. He recounted his experience of betrayal by his fellow believers who abandoned him at a critical moment when he needed them to stand by him. Paul expressed disappointment that Demas, a dedicated minister who worked assiduously alongside him, in Colossae and Philemon, deserted the ministry to pursue worldly pleasures.       In response to the betrayal of his fellow coworkers and human failure, Paul's letter responded with a message focused on encouragement, forgiveness, and his unwavering trust in God. His letter served as a lesson on human weakness, emphasizing God's mercy and the profound strength of relying on God alone. The journey of faith and...

God Qualifies the Call

Image
Good morning Scripture Reading: Exodus 4:10-16 Worship song: His Eye on The Sparrow   Meditation:      Rather than focusing on his divine assignment, Moses, an ordinary servant, was concerned more about his perceived inadequacy, lack of qualification, and human limitations. After Moses related his excuses, God reminded him that He does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called. God does not choose individuals based on their natural abilities or qualifications but equips, empowers, and prepares those He has called to serve.       While Moses thought he lacked eloquence, God recognized the divine potential he had instilled within him. As outlined in 1 Cor. 2:27, God often chooses what the world considers foolish or weak to establish his strength and wisdom. Also in 2 Cor. 3:5, we are reminded that our ability and competence to complete spiritual assignments are furnished by God. If God has called you, He will empower you wi...

Rejoice With Exceeding Gladness

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Revelation 21:2-7 Worship song: No Tears in Heaven   Meditation:      O weary soul oppressed by grief and pain, rejoice and be exceeding glad because there is a day when weeping will cease. Through the ransom of the Lord, we have obtained joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing will vanish. Keep your hope strong and your patience steady for the powerful promise of Jesus. He is our shepherd who will lead us to an abundance of life, where every tear will be dried. With God as our guide, we can face a bright future filled with abundant life, knowing he will wipe away every tear. The cleansing power of his divine love will clear the tears from your eyes in any time of trouble.       While it is natural for people to suffer, do not lose heart or be dismayed. God will empower, assist, and hold you steady with his righteous right hand. Even amidst persecution, you are not abandoned because the Lord promises neve...

Our Track History

Image
Good Morning Scripture Reading: Ephesians 6:10-18 Worship Song:  Look Where He Brought Me From   Meditation:      Before we met Jesus Christ, our track record was tarnished by the works of the flesh and corrupted by our iniquities. Our sinful nature and our desire for worldly pleasures have led us down the wrong path and into many danger zones. Many of our struggles and heartaches were and are a result of our refusal to obey the leading and prompting of the Holy Spirit. Our mistakes and poor decisions could have been avoided if we had heeded and listened to the Holy Spirit when He tried to connect with us. Now we can look back and thank God with a grateful heart for where he has brought us from and the catastrophe he has prevented physically, mentally, and spiritually.       The Lord has brought us a mighty long way, out of darkness into his marvelous light. Despite our misguided actions or choices, everyone has an ultimate purpose an...

Follow Me

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Luke 9:23-27 Worship song: Let Me Lose Myself   Meditation:      To be followers of Jesus Christ, we must commit ourselves to and be willing to follow his teachings and abide by his commands. Denying oneself is essential in the life of every follower of Jesus Christ. We must decrease so God can take precedence over us. His will is first and foremost in every circumstance, especially when hardship and tribulations arise. Denying ourselves to follow Christ means we must denounce our selfish desires, and pledge allegiance to Him. Denying oneself for Christ is to give up one's wants to receive his. It means surrendering the natural man, your carnal ways, by crucifying your fleshly desires and bringing them under God's subjection.       When we daily deny self and crucify the flesh, we grow stronger, our faith is strengthened, and we will become more Christlike. Not only should we deny ourselves, but we should ...

Permanently Erased

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: 1 John 1:7-10 Worship song: Nothing but The Blood   Meditation:      Concealed underneath the layer of correction fluid on the closely examined written document lie all the inevitable mistakes neatly covered. It completely cleared the error providing a blank space to rewrite. This is similar to what God does. God offers us a divine correction fluid, the blood of Jesus Christ, that blots out our transgressions and removes them as far as the East is from the West. When God blots out transgressions, they are forgotten entirely. The stain of sin is totally erased, leaving no trace behind.       The significant difference between erasing mistakes with correction fluid and covering your sins is that error is covered to reduce unnecessary material waste, and sin is erased for your redemption. Note, however, that anyone who covers their sins will not prosper, but whoso confesses and forsakes them shall obtain merc...
