Scripture reading: Romans 8:31-39

Meditation:

    With God on your side, no enemy can truly triumph over you, even when it seems they are succeeding during persecution or tribulation. It may look like they are succeeding when they mock us or threaten us, but God's purpose and support for us are far greater than any force against us. Though we are oppressed and chastised by our adversary, we shall overcome for we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us. We are reminded by Apostle Paul that nothing can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. 

    Amidst human rejection, we can draw strength from the knowledge that God's love is beyond measure and without condition. Do not be dismayed or fear those who are against you for God will never leave you. He will strengthen you and uphold you with His righteous right hand. If God be for us, tell me who can triumph against us? When God is for us, we cannot be defeated because we have the victory, and his name is Jesus Christ. Stay anchored in Jesus, and don't be afraid of those who challenge you. 

Let us pray:

Almighty God, I am grateful to you this morning for loving us unconditionally. Father, we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, and joint-heirs with Jesus, so nothing can separate us from you. Heavenly Father, I am grateful to you for sending your only son to redeem us from the bondage of sin. Lord, I am grateful that there is no condemnation to those who call on the name of Jesus Christ. Father, amid tribulation, when the adversary rises against us, I am grateful to you that no one can triumph or stand against us because you are with us. I express my gratitude for your divine message, reminding us that through Jesus Christ who demonstrated his love for us, we are victorious. We are thankful that nothing can separate us from your redeeming love. Loving and gracious Saviour, thank you for loving us unconditionally. Amen.

Called to Serve

Good morning Scripture: Matthew 10:1-20 Hymn: Just as I am  Meditation:      Jesus Christ selected ordinary persons to serve as his disciples and then he equipped them with power over unclean spirits, to cast them out and to heal all manner of sickness and diseases. Among those whom Jesus chose to be his disciples were tax collectors and fishermen. As Jesus sent forth his disciples to serve, he gave them clear instructions to take the gospel to those who would listen and to the lost sheep. The disciples were told that they would encounter some stubborn, self-willed persons, who would reject the gospel.       The disciples were sent among the vilest of sinners and were advised to use wisdom, be harmless, and focus on their mission. Good morning Scripture reading: Psalms 130 Worship song: I Will Wait for You   Meditation:      The Bible is rich with stories demonstrating God's faithfulness to his promises, revealing how and when they were accomplished. The biblical accounts of Abraham, Sarah, Hannah, and Joseph illustrate how God's promises unfold over time, through testing, and in ways that are often unexpected. While the divine promise took many years to materialize for these individuals, their stories demonstrate God's enduring faithfulness. Patience is a virtue that is built over time as a result of waiting for a promise to be fulfilled. Good morning Scripture reading: Numbers 12 Praise song: Your Grace and Mercy   Meditation:      Miriam and Aaron criticized their younger brother Moses, using his marriage to an Ethiopian woman as a pretext to question his authority. They believed that God spoke through them as much as did through Moses. Their constant utterance against Moses, the chosen servant kindled the wrath of God. Miriam was struck with leprosy and was shut out of the camp.   Because she was unable to journey with them in her state, the people had to wait until she recovered and returned to the camp.
