Rejoice With Exceeding Gladness

Meditation:

    O weary soul oppressed by grief and pain, rejoice and be exceeding glad because there is a day when weeping will cease. Through the ransom of the Lord, we have obtained joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing will vanish. Keep your hope strong and your patience steady for the powerful promise of Jesus. He is our shepherd who will lead us to an abundance of life, where every tear will be dried. With God as our guide, we can face a bright future filled with abundant life, knowing he will wipe away every tear. The cleansing power of his divine love will clear the tears from your eyes in any time of trouble. 

    While it is natural for people to suffer, do not lose heart or be dismayed. God will empower, assist, and hold you steady with his righteous right hand. Even amidst persecution, you are not abandoned because the Lord promises never to leave or forsake us. You may be struck down, but you will not be destroyed, for the Father of mercies and God of all comfort promises to comfort us in all our tribulations. Come and lay down your heavy yoke, the burden you have carried for the joy of the Lord, where sorrow, grief, and death hold no power. There will be no tears in Heaven; no sorrow awaits us, just joy and gladness.

Let us pray:

    Sovereign God, we thank you that even amidst grief and pain we will rejoice and remain glad, knowing that there will be no tears in Heaven. We honor you, Almighty God, as you promise to wipe away all tears from the eyes of every believer, erasing sorrow, death, and pain forever. Thank you, Lord God, for offering us hope and comfort, assuring us our sorrows will be erased, and we will enjoy the peace of God. Lord God of compassion, tears are a language only you understand, so we beseech you to hear our faintest cries as we bow in supplication through our Redeemer, Jesus Christ, the comforter. Amen.

Whatever we are exposed to and whoever influences us can positively or negatively impact us. Good morning Scripture reading: Leviticus 16 Worship song: By His wounds   Meditation:      A scapegoat is a goat used in a biblical ritual, described in Leviticus, to achieve atonement and purification for the Israelites. On the Day of Atonement, the people's sins were symbolically transferred to the goat, which was then sent into the wilderness to carry their transgressions away.
