Who Are You, Great Mountain?

Scripture reading: Zechariah 4:1-10

Meditation:

    Zerubbabel, governor of Judah by the proclamation of King Cyrus, began rebuilding the city. However, as they started constructing the house of the Lord, the adversaries of Judah and Benjamin rose against them. Upon receiving a letter, Persian King Artaxerxes ordered the construction in the city to halt immediately. In adherence to this royal decree, Zerubbabel and his builders ceased all construction on the city and the temple. 

    Several years later, Zechariah was visited by an angel of the Lord, who proclaimed that the hand of Zerubbabel shall complete the work that he had begun and nothing will prevent its completion. Even if unforeseen delays in your project, tasks, or assignments have occurred, do not succumb to despair or grow weary. Challenges and financial difficulties may have hindered your progress; however, a new beginning is still possible; there is always hope. 

    Reignite what you have started, guided by the Spirit of the Almighty rather than your own strength. Respond to the Lord's call with promptness and unwavering trust, leaving no room for hesitation.

Let us pray:

    Omnipresent God, the only God whose unseen eyes encompass the entire earth, observing and recording every activity conducted under the sun, I exalt You and humbly bow before Your throne. Lord of Hosts, I magnify and glorify You, O God, for You are worthy of all praise. Father, we trust in You by faith, believing that whatever task You set before us, nothing can hinder its completion. We trust Your plans and believe that all things are possible not by our might nor by our power, but by the spirit of the living God. 

    Almighty God, as You spoke unto Zechariah concerning the task You have given unto Zerubbabel, I ask that You speak unto us, O God, and remind us that whatever we have started, in Your honor and for Your glory, will be completed. Almighty God, whatever our great mountains are, we declare they will become as plain as we surrender them before You, knowing that You are the mountain mover. Father, I entrust every battle to You, O God, knowing that You are the God who never loses a battle. Almighty God, I give You thanks for breaking the chains of bondage, for removing blockages, pulling down strongholds, and dismantling obstacles in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.

Jesus Is Calling You

Good morning Scripture reading: Matthew 9:9-13 Worship song: Softly and Tenderly   Meditation:      Matthew, a collector of internal revenue, was diligently collecting taxes as is customary; however, when Jesus called, he immediately left everything behind and followed him. The Pharisees perceived tax collectors as adversaries to be avoided. Jesus regarded them as souls in need of spiritual healing. While the Pharisees imposed strict rules on tax collectors, Jesus extended genuine forgiveness and offered a fresh beginning. A Deep And Holy Fear

Good morning Scripture reading: Jonah 1:7-17 Worship song: Whom Shall I Fear   Meditation:      After the mariners' prayer to their respective gods failed, they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah. They gently confronted him and discovered he was running from the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land. The sailors were overwhelmed with fear, yet upon the request of Jonah, they reluctantly threw him overboard into the raging sea. Immediately, the boisterous tempest ceased. Witnessing God's sovereignty over nature, the sailors moved from frantic panic to profound reverence, fearing the Lord exceedingly, offering sacrifices, and making vows to Him.       The sailors' reverence for God is a profound reminder that regardless of whom one serves or what one believes, every individual must ultimately render reverence to the sovereignty of God (Philippians 2:10-11). Good morning Scripture reading: Deuteronomy 24: 14-15  Worship song: Victory Belongs to Jesus   Meditation:      The seven-year bilateral contract agreement between Laban and Jacob was broken after Laban failed to fulfill his end of the bargain, but despite being disappointed by the outcome of their verbal agreement, Jacob dedicated his time and service to Laban as he worked relentlessly for fourteen more years. Realizing that Laban was a deceiver and unjust master, Jacob took his family and fled, dissatisfied that Laban had deceived him and had despitefully changed his wages ten times.
