When You Fail, Do Not Quit, Try Again

Good morning

Scripture reading: Proverbs 24:15-16

Worship song: Survivor

Meditation:

History tells us many examples of inventors, explorers, and leaders who failed multiple times before attaining success. One of the most famous is Thomas Edison, credited with inventing the carbon telephone transmitter, light bulb, and phonograph. It took 1,000 unsuccessful attempts before he created the first light bulb. It is said that many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up. In our walk of faith, our identity is found in God's unending love, not our past mistakes. It is the beginning of a new chapter guided by faith.

The righteous man will never quit, for though he falls, he will rise again. His steps are ordered by the Lord, and he protects those who please him. If the righteous fall, they will not stay down, because the Lord will help them. It is not the end when a righteous person falls, for God's sustaining grace ensures they will rise again. Our failures are not the end of the story but rather part of God's plan to shape us for His purpose. Remember, the mark of a successor is not the absence of failure, but the will to stand firm and never surrender.

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, I raise a hallelujah to you, O God, knowing that your church is established in us and the gates of hell can't prevail against that which you have built. Father, I am grateful that there is hope amidst adversity and that when we encounter failure, we can trust you to turn it into a steppingstone for our greater good. Almighty God, I am thankful that when we falter, you will not abandon us but will strengthen us, help us, and uphold us with your righteous right hand. Father, I thank you for empowering us with the strength and resilience to overcome despite being discouraged. Almighty God, I am grateful that when we experience failures, it does not define us, because we serve you, God, the giver of hope and the inventor of impossible things. Father, thank you for your grace and mercy to help us overcome our mistakes and failures through Jesus Christ, our Redeemer. Amen.

Keep safe. Shalom. ✌💕🙏
