Restored by God's Grace

Good morning

Scripture reading: Numbers 12

Praise song: Your Grace and Mercy

Meditation:

Miriam and Aaron criticized their younger brother Moses, using his marriage to an Ethiopian woman as a pretext to question his authority. They believed that God spoke through them as much as did through Moses. Their constant utterance against Moses, the chosen servant kindled the wrath of God. Miriam was struck with leprosy and was shut out of the camp.  Because she was unable to journey with them in her state, the people had to wait until she recovered and returned to the camp. The rebellious spirit that existed then is still evident in us today, for we sometimes rebel against those who carry out God's work, driven by our own beliefs about their incompetence or their unsuitability for ministry, speaking highly against them to anyone who cares to listen.

Aaron and Miriam complained and murmured against Moses, by challenging his divinely appointed leadership. This illustrates that they were naive to what God was doing. God informed them profoundly that Moses was his faithful servant. Be careful of those whom you speak against for you might utter words of bitterness against someone who is God's humble, faithful servant. Instead of complaining about the people God has chosen, let us focus on serving God faithfully.

Let us pray:

Jehovah God, we apologize for every negative utterance we have spoken against your servants intentionally or unintentionally. We beseech you to forgive us for knowingly and or unknowingly rebelling against those you have chosen. Almighty God, please forgive us for criticizing, and murmuring against the body of Christ without thinking of the consequences. Lord, through ignorance we have stepped out of bounds. Forgive our lack of faith in your perfect plan and help us learn to trust your way completely. Father, we ask that you place our tongues under subjection and allow us to utter words of wisdom. I beseech you to bind and conquer the spirit of rebelliousness and let it not have dominion power over our minds through Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you an awesome day. 💕🙏

  1. Restoration. We all are being restored. When we needed a makeover, it was and God who made us whole. What would have become of us if He did not make us whole. Thank God for newness of life. We should spend our years for Him. Blessings and love ❤️
