Made In The Image Of God
Good morning
Scripture reading: Genesis 1:26-27
Worship song: Cover Me
Meditation:
Words are powerful tools that can either shatter or strengthen our confidence, character, and peace of mind. Some of us know what it’s like to let others’ negativity define our potential. Numerous individuals are adversely impacted by the heavy burden of being told they will never amount to anything, they are unlovable and unworthy.
Unlike human speech, God’s divine words are flawless, perfect, and sound. His words act as protection for those who take refuge in Him. We are fearfully and wonderfully made in the likeness and image of God, reflecting His power, wisdom, and care. His enduring and infallible truth protects our minds and our hearts. When you are tempted to believe the negative utterances about your value and purpose, remember that you are God’s masterpiece for divine purpose.
Let us combat negative, spoken utterances by declaring the
truth of scripture over our lives, identity, and relationships. Regardless of
our accomplishments or shortcomings, let us affirm our worth as created beings bought
with a price and designed for sacred mission.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, Overseer of my life, Your grace is
sufficient for me. I will boast in my weakness, knowing that your power is made
perfect in weakness. Almighty God, please give us the strength to overcome
toxic utterances and accept that I am valuable and precious in your sight. Help
me, Lord, to accept and gain confidence in who I am. Today I declare every
negative spoken word over our lives powerless, null, and void. I affirm I will
no longer seek to hold to a false sense of identity nor dwell on the wavering
opinions of others about my abilities. Almighty God, let me find strength and
worth in you. When I am feeling the sting of insecurity and low self-esteem,
remind me, Lord God, that I am fearfully and wonderfully made in your image and
likeness. May Your divine Word stand as a shield, protecting me always in the
name of Jesus Christ, our King. Amen.
Wishing you a peaceful day. ✌💪🙏
Growing up i always thought that I look like God because of the misunderstanding that we are created in His image. Created in His image is not physical but spiritual. All of the attributes of God can be fulfilled in us once we totally surrender to Him. People who speak ill of others especially children of God is speaking ill to God. The sooner one understand what they are doing, should put the breaks on and ask for forgiveness, because the least you do unto one of these you do it unto me, good or bad. I always learned, that it is not what people say about you is important but what you think about yourself. Not to say, words don't hurt, they do. For the reason people do things is to cause hurt. 🙏
