The Faith Test

Good morning

Scripture reading: Hebrews 11

Worship song: Give Me Faith

Meditation:

Our faith is tested more frequently than we often realize. Every day, we move forward with hope, stepping into an uncertain future with high expectations, yet we seldom know how our efforts will unfold.

When confronted with a decree forbidding prayer, Daniel persisted in trusting God openly and he was subsequently delivered from a den of hungry lions. David courageously faced the Philistine giant, Goliath, not knowing whether he would defeat him or what the outcome would be; however, with unwavering faith, he confronted him and secured victory for Israel. By faith, Noah obediently constructed a large ark to save his family, despite having never witnessed rainfall. Exercising faith, Rahab received the three spies into her home and hid them safely, disregarding her personal safety.

Hebrews 11 reminds us that faith is the assurance of things hoped for and the conviction of things not seen. Genuine faith does not require a guaranteed outcome; it provides us with the courage to proceed nonetheless. For we walk by faith, not by sight as faith without works is dead. When life tests your endurance, remember that your daily obedience is a significant act of trust in God’s unseen plan. It is essential to overcome obstacles, find strength during hardships, and experience spiritual growth.

Let us Pray:

Mighty God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, I praise you for the reminder in Holy Scripture to rest in the assurance of your promises and the certainty of things not yet fulfilled. Equip me to exercise my mustard seed faith in a manner that exemplifies faithful stewardship. As you empower your servants with wisdom to acknowledge and obey your divine guidance, I pray that I will be similarly furnished. I desire to possess the faith of Daniel and David, so that when I walk through the shadow of death I will fear no evil. Empower me with Abraham's faith to go where you send me without fear of the unknown. Lord, I lay my fears, doubts, worries, and frustrations at your feet. I entrust my shortcomings into your hands, seeking Your holy guidance in all my actions, speech, and decisions. I choose to release these burdens to You, trusting that Your peace and grace will sustain me. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you joy and peace. 👏💖🙏
