Why Struggle When Help Is Available?

Meditation:

    Whenever we met to socialize, my sister would jokingly say, 'Why struggle when help is here?' a comment that was often followed by an uproar of laughter. Reflecting on her words, I thought of the challenges we face daily. Many of us confront stressful, overwhelming issues, yet we attempt to handle them alone without seeking assistance. Whatever struggles we are encountering, we can rest assured that our help is found in Jesus, our divine Helper. 

    Jesus told His disciples to expect trouble in this world, but promised they would find true peace in Him. He urged them to stay hopeful because the power of God living inside them is greater than any trouble they will face. Our greatest divine Helper is Almighty God. All of our support comes from the Lord. He invites us, saying, "Come unto me, all that labor and are heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. We are encouraged to bring our concerns, worries, anxieties, sins, problems, and burdens, and surrender them to Jesus Christ. Take them to the cross, and entrust them to Him. He will lift your heavy burden. Why continue to struggle when our helper, the Lord our God, says He will help us? 

    Let us present our difficulties to the Lord in prayer; He is the problem solver and a burden bearer. He is just a prayer away.

Let us pray:

    My Lord and My God, in my distress, I cry unto thee, O God, my helper. Father, our great Helper, we lay our burdens, struggles, problems, iniquities, sins, and tribulations at the foot of the cross. We crave Your divine help, O God, as we surrender all our mental, emotional, spiritual, physical, and financial concerns to You. Intervene in our situations, take authority, O God, and lift the heavy burdens we carry. As we place our burdens before You this morning, let Your Shekinah glory and Your peace descend upon us, anoint us afresh, and fill us with Your Spirit. Fill us with Your unconditional love and peace that endures forever. Please purify our hearts, cleanse our minds, and have Your way in us, O God, as we entrust our well-being to You. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Helper. Amen.

    In all our fustrations, what is the Lord saying or teaching us. Sometimes our shortcomings are revealed in ways that we really are not aware of but the Lord knows the plan He has for us to prosper us and not to harm us, to give us hope and a future. Jer:29:11

    In Deuteronomy 29:9
    Therefore keep the words of this covenant, and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do. Once we keep our end of the deal, God will be faithful to His. It is trying times but we can be victorious. Let us continue to be of strength to each other. 🙏🙏💪💪
