Goodness Demonstrated
Good morning
Scripture reading: Galatians 5: 22-23
Worship Song: God Is Good
Meditation:
Doing good demonstrates our love, compassion, and kindness. Goodness is one of the essential fruits of the spirit recorded in Galatians 5, which every child of God should seek to obtain. Goodness results in a life characterized by deeds motivated by righteousness and holiness. Doing good demonstrates virtue and a desire to bless others; but salvation itself is a gift from God received through faith, not earned by our actions, which removes any grounds for boasting. Whatsoever we do, we should do it heartily as unto the Lord and not unto men, knowing that of the Lord we shall receive the reward of the inheritance for serving the Lord.
Though we are not
saved by goodness, God expects us to do good to others, so let us not be weary
in well-doing, for in due time we shall reap if we do not faint. While we have
the opportunity, let us do good to all men, especially to those who are of the
household of faith. And let us not hide our light but allow it to shine before
men so that they may see our good works and glorify our Father, who is in
heaven. You are known by your deeds, so always strive to do good in your
neighborhood.
Let us pray:
Sovereign God, how excellent is your name in all the earth?
From the rising of the sun until the going down, you are still God, and you
reign supreme. Father, you are the master of goodness, grace, and mercy, and
so, Father, I will forever praise and glorify you. I have acknowledged that no
good deeds that I have done and will ever do will earn me salvation, but I
understand that doing good is a demonstration of your will and attestation of
the fruit of the Spirit. Lord, my deepest desire is to do your will and follow
the path of righteousness you set before me. Let your blessings flow through me
to others. Equip me with your divine wisdom to honor you in every action. May
the fruits of your Spirit in our lives shine as a light before others,
revealing your holiness and drawing them into your presence. Empower us, O God,
to serve others tirelessly and without weariness, in the mighty name of Jesus
Amen.
Wishing you a peaceful day. ✌💕🙏
