Keep Your Heart Clean
Good morning
Scripture reading: Psalm 51:7-12
Worship song: Clean Heart
Meditation:
In accordance with safety protocols to prevent illness, it is advisable to regularly sanitize, disinfect, and wash our hands. Equally important is keeping our hearts clean and pure. Our heart, however, does not need physical cleansing but spiritual cleansing. Our heart reflects our true inner nature. Jeremiah 17:9 reminds us that the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, who can know it? Consequently, it requires divine purification.
We must diligently guard and nurture our heart, which is
the source of our thoughts, emotions, and actions. We must be vigilant and
careful about what enters and takes root in our hearts, by preventing negative
influences from inevitably shaping our lives. Matthew 5:8 says, Blessed
are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Although the inner workings of
our hearts may remain hidden from others, nothing is concealed from God, who
knows the innermost iniquities that abound in every human heart. We preserve
the purity and sanity of our hearts by allowing the Holy Spirit to work within
us, transforming our thoughts, will, and desires to align with God's divine
purpose.
Let us pray:
Everlasting Father, we desire to pursue holiness, be set
apart to be used by you, and do your will. We acknowledge the need for our
hearts to be cleansed, O God, for new wine cannot be poured into a dirty
vessel. Lord, please remove our stony hearts and replace them with hearts of
flesh, renewing our spirits in Your promise. Almighty God, we recognize that
our hearts can be corrupt and desperately wicked; therefore, we turn to you, O
God, l to create within us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us.
Search our hearts, O God, examine our innermost thoughts, and judge us
according to our ways and the fruit of our actions. Our hearts need your
guidance, Lord, the only true surgeon who knows and understands the heart's
condition. Protect us from negative influences and lead us away from anything
that might lead us astray. We rely solely on you, Lord God, to guard our
hearts, for out of them flow the issues of life. Thank you, Lord, for
protecting us from the enemy's deceptive plans in the name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
May you have a blessed day. ✌💖🙏
